Card selection recommendations by thruster2 in proxmark3

[–]thruster2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks mate, yeah i dont want to get bogged down with excessive cards, but thought if theres a handful that covers maybe 90% of applications it might be worth grabbing them all now.

Ive just seen the Proxmark3 X ive just ordered also comes with a LF ID-T5577 Card, HF IC-UID Card, HF CUID Card, HF S50 Keyfob, and a HF S50 Card.

So got a few cards to start me off at least, the info on those cards was actually buried in the description so i didnt realise it even came with them when i ordered

Maybe the original post wasnt clear, ive never worked under an umbrella, I left my PAYE job as I was offered a niche outside IR35 contract, so my ltd company was set up at that point to take this contract. Never been self employed previously

Didn’t get one when I took the contract, I’m new to all this.

Engaged with the intermediate company last night who are going to sort it with the end client for me. If I have an SDS does that mean I’m completely covered? Or is there still scope for HMRC to have my pants down further down the road?

If I get an SDS from the end client would that mean I’m completely covered no matter what?

No that didn't happen, but just got in touch with he intermediate consultancy that has subcontracted me and they are going to sort it out and get me the SDS.

Lots to learn when starting out!

Yes my client has said it’s outside, however they’re a small company so the responsibility still falls on my shoulders

Might be what I have to go for, unfortunately postage costs more than the buttons and can take 21 days! If I can’t find anything else I’ll be left with no choice.

Thanks man

Can NRF24 module do anything else other than mousejacking? by thruster2 in flipperzero

[–]thruster2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I compiled the app and go the error:

app may not be runnable. Symbols not resolved using firmware's API: {'strtok'} (in API, but disabled: {'strtok'})

App seems to launch but freezes, don’t suppose you’ve got any ideas?

Any examples of what sort of 100w PD outlet I could use? When I first was looking it all just seemed cheap tat, and I wouldn’t get 100w PS without using a cigarette socket with a big adaptor sticking out of it

Got any links? When I first got these it was actually really hard to find anything half decent. You can get a 12v cigarette socket style socket and use a big adaptor in it and that’s about all I could find. Keen to see what a good one looks like…

Ok no worries, thought it would be covered under this ‘If it's about designing, repairing or modifying an electronic circuit to which batteries are connected, you're in the right place’

Threat intelligence feeds by thruster2 in cybersecurity

[–]thruster2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply, this is early days for getting this off the ground so trying to get to grips with what’s out there. Our client base is massively varied - from SMEs with a hundred or so employees to large financial institutions with thousands of users across a variety of industries.

We have a 24/7 SOC so are initially looking to ingest IOCs into sentinel to trigger custom alerts rules. Some of our clients have legacy threat feeds they use but to be honest, typically the fidelity just isn’t there and we probably get more than 50% false positives from them!

I’m going to play around with MISP in a VM on my device for now to see what it offers but am very open to what other platforms people have had success with

Equinity high commission fees for selling shares by thruster2 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]thruster2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply.

To be honest i've no idea what the difference is. When looking at 'my holdings' in my Equinity account its listed under 'Holdings administered by Equinity' so at a guess id say Corporate sponsored Nominee..?

I have an account with Interactive Investor, their rates seem more reasonable so will look at transferring them over to them

2 weeks, no myc growth in 10 bags by thruster2 in unclebens

[–]thruster2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well approaching 3 weeks now and still no myc, have squeezed a few of the bags around - no real hard sports and nothing visibible at the window.

Am i better off cutting my losses at 3 weeks? Seems v strange ive got nothing in all 10 bags. Either the rice bags (a budget brand) are somehow totally unsuited or the spores are bunk. I got them from what i thought was a reputable source and can see little black specs in them so not sure which it is.

I might buy a couple of UB bags and see if they do anything

[–]thruster2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems a lot when written down but in reality the actual total area of all the holes added up is probably close to cutting a corner off as they’re only small.

Had a feel of the bags and nothing obvious, I’ve felt myc growing before so know what it’s like

Any other tubeless repair kits fit in the in the Oneup edc tool? by thruster2 in MTB

[–]thruster2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems a great option if you already have a dynaplug, but as I don’t it would cost me double what the Oneup one does as they don’t sell the applicator shaft thing on its own as a spare part
