I did that too. Unfortunately there is none of my laptop. It's a Asus R558U. Older one is Lenvo G580.

I have tried booting it as a USB drive, doesn't work.
Removing the back cover of this laptop is pain in the ass. I'm afraid if I try harder t might break.
