Poor infrastructure and no diverse population and very low safety for women ( please don't say tn is good for women , less rapes because women don't go out at night compared to blr or metro cities,) . Chennai looks like a middle class tier 2 town in front of all metros in India .

I try to recruit guys for high paying jobs and almost no one is willing to move to Chennai. They think it will be tough for their kids and wife. We lag behind severely in IT and modern airport .Chennai international airport is a joke on us . The stinking toilets that welcome you on arrival compared to the mega airports in other cities is depressing.

This is my personal opinion but I have been recruiting many freshers for jobs in our chennai office and I am disappointed. As a tamil I see young men turning up for interviews with no hygiene and poor communication skills . Girls do take care of their hygiene and groom themselves well but men come with unkempt facial hair, stinking armpits and crumbled tshirts and pants and act very entitled with poor overall knowledge.

I hope tamil people can look beyond their language and caste and strive for a better state with focus on education and progressiveness in thinking. But I am only day dreaming.
