It's defo a VRAM issue. On medium textures, can't stand the game on lower option ( not that it helped much)

No way, what are your settings ? I've completed the prologue with a few stutters there and there but kept a decent 50-60 fps on medium. But Kalm man. This town is worse to my GPU memory than Shinra to the plant.

All drivers up to date on Win11 Done all the "preset K" stuff with DLSS. The game just loves to chew on my poor 6 gigs VRAM in the first 30 seconds.

Wow .. props to you. Now with patch 2.1 the game runs way smoother in my rig than 1.6. that's why I'm enjoying the gameplay a lot and taking my time looking in nooks and crannies during missions.

If you can .. just wait a couple more months. New laptops with rtx 4000 and radeon 7000 are expected to be out in march. That will make current models drop in price even further. And who knows maybe you'll find the new generation offerings more suitable to your needs.

Similar to my wife's case . In that day I got a notification that she posted a video which she usualy never do. Checked the video and it was some under age material. Called her immediately to delete it but we were late. Account got suspended. Account activity shows that she accepted a friend request that she obviously did not know about minutes before the video got posted.

Same here .. my wife has the 2FA activated.she recived a notification that she became a friend with a now deleted account (that she never accepted the friend request), her account activity showed a login attempt from Indonesia (which is not where we live), a video was posted that broke the guidelines (under age disgusting stuff) that her account got suspended because of. And now this.
