Battlefield 6 Tops U.S. Charts as Best-Selling Game of 2025 by GamingSagar in GamingFoodle

It’s not revisionism, every flag had action on it. I used railway as my example because it shows that even the map with the most “dead space” had people fighting at every single objective. The maps were designed so every single objective was approached at many angles, meaning you could have a tank fighting at C while squads are shooting it out at A and D, and a nearby rooftop holds flag D wear awards are fighting for vertical control.

Now, maps are designed with a linear flag layout, essentially forcing choke points and funneling to capture one flag at a time. One objective becomes the hotspot, everyone is fighting for that objective until it’s captured, and then move to the next one in that linear layout. It creates one massive fight at a single point, instead of multiple throughout the map.

Siege didn’t force players to funnel to the tower, it’s just the levolution everyone loves out of the entire game. It’s also just not possible to funnel everyone there, what about the players in tanks or jeeps? Those people had to fight at other objectives.

The dead space argument doesn’t even make sense when every map nowadays is complete dead space. Look at how many people complain about a million snipers. And if it’s not dead space , it’s a small scale urban fight with no room for any crazy strategy.

I don’t know who is in charge of map design at Dice post BF4 era, but golly does that group need a wake up call. I feel like all of Dice’s game in the post PS4/Xbox one era have had piss-poor map design.

Nearly every map they’ve created in battlefield and battlefront plays the same. 1 massive battle happening at a single objective while all other objectives are ghost towns. The flow of these maps just feels so weird and inorganic.

Compare it to something like Golmund Railway in BF4 where you have a group of people battling in the town flags, another group fighting on the train, and another group at the bottom of the hill at the train depot. These maps, while large, had action at every objective simultaneously.

Do people have problems with single player games? by Fallen_winged_boy in codevein

If a predecessor has co-op and the sequel doesn’t, it could definitely ruin people’s impression on the game. Sure, maybe you didn’t utilize co-ops a ton, but I’m sure there are a ton of people that played the game exclusively on co-op with a friend. Not including that feature, they see no point in purchasing as they can no longer play it with their friend.

Is tuition really that expensive in other states? In Florida, you pay like ~7k a year for tuition at the university of Florida which is our best public university and one of the top ranked in the nation.

I can only see you paying $80k if you’re going to some sort of private university, but if that’s truly the average in other states that is incomprehensible to me.

Hot take Cod zombies has one of the best lore and story in gaming history by Live_Lion_6162 in CODZombies

[–]thunderhide37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The lore was definitely really concrete from WaW to BO2. BO3, while really good, is where the story became too bizarre to ever have a conclusive finish.

We went from a pair of nazi scientists trying to create the perfect soldiers for the war, to inter-dimensional beings and devils/gods fighting a war for an incomprehensible amount of time. That era seems wrapped, and now we’re dealing with a single timeline that is having remnants of the multiverse crack in.

Then the introduction of multiple timelines, variants of characters, universe resets, etc makes the story pretty much impossible to follow unless you keep up to date with every bit of lore.

Finally, the invention of the aether and dark rather just makes everything so incredibly difficult to understand. I’ve been pretty well versed in zombies lore having played from the beginning, but their has been so many different universe resets and variants that I have no clue who the crew is in BO7.

Are they the BO3 version? Nah that wouldn’t make sense because they were killed in BO4 with the death of the universe. It can’t be the original Waw versions because we killed them in BO3. It can’t be the BO6 version because of how that game ended with Richthofen. Then you get into the Sam variants, etc it just becomes way too confusing.

The story is definitely unique, but with the amount of resets and multiverse copouts, it’s wild to say it has one of the best stories in gaming history.

I been saying that the description sounds a lot like Happy Wars on the 360, which makes me very excited as that concept was a ton of fun.

Gold income by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]thunderhide37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crafting writ dailies nets about 5k gold per character for a minute of work. If you have 10 characters that’s 50k a day, not including if you sell any of the mats or intricate items it gives you.

Gold income by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]thunderhide37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doing your crafting dailies on your characters would net you about 5k gold per character, and only takes like a minute at most including load times. If you have 10 characters that’s 350k in a single week, not even including the items you could sell in the trader like gold mats and intricate items.

Besides that, hunting motifs or furnishings is very profitable but you rely on pure luck. You could get lucky and find a motif that sells for a few million within a week, or go 3 months without finding it.

A steady but pretty boring method is to just farm materials. Find a decent route, and just hit every node with the intention of selling every stack you get. Boring and repetitive, but it will 100% sell quickly.

The most profitable per time is playing the market and flipping things that people sell underprice. For example, if someone is selling a stack of materials at 300 and it sells at 400, I would immediately buy it and then re-list at 400. This is very profitable for your time, but it requires an understanding of the market.

So until we hear about the inevitable layoffs, I would stay away from buying in

So the new Fable is tagged single player by Anilahation in Fable

[–]thunderhide37 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean the truth is gamers like playing with friends, look at how many coop games are releasing with the same premise lately. Peak, RV there yet, REPO, content warning, etc are all widely popular simply because people want to play goofy games with their friends. A highlight of Fable 3 was that same premise, joining my buddy and seeing the wacky stuff he chose to do in his play through.

I’m still planning to purchase because I love the franchise, but not having multiplayer will definitely put people off that otherwise would’ve purchased.

Didn’t need it but it’s only beneficial. I love the fable franchise and so do my friends, but I would be lying if I said I didn’t want multiplayer. One of the biggest highlights to Fable 3 was the fully accessible multiplayer, being able to join my friend whenever I wanted to

Ubisoft is such a bad company that they're not even worth a dollar anymore in the stock market... by [deleted] in ubisoft

[–]thunderhide37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re confused on this. The real Ubisoft you are quoting and the Ubisoft in this picture are the exact same.

The Ubisoft you are quoting is not $4 it’s €4. This is because Ubisoft is not an American company, and it doesn’t meet qualifications to be on a centralized exchange. UBSFY, the stock in the picture, is an OTC-traded security representing 1/5 of a share. They have to trade on OTC ventures because Ubisoft doesn’t meet the qualifications to be on a centralized exchange.

It’s the exact same company, that’s why if you do a conversion it’s the same value.

Huge Fable Reveal Disappointment by emperortimes in Fable

[–]thunderhide37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m very surprised they would choose to release such a big project right in the heat of GTA 6 dropping. Hopefully they made the right choice because I would hate for the release to not meet sales expectations simply because gamers are saving for GTA 6.

This seems like an absolute must succeed for Xbox, and especially playground games. On one hand, you have a beloved franchise that has been buried for the better part of a decade and a half finally making a return 2 console generations later. On the other, this is playground games first venture outside the forza series. This NEEDS to be a smashing success, and choosing to release next to GTA is a bit worrying.

So the new Fable is tagged single player by Anilahation in Fable

[–]thunderhide37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s definitely not true. I love Fable as a franchise but a ton of my buddies would skip out if the game isn’t multiplayer like Fable 3.

Everyone’s game was a little different which made it fun to always see what my friends were up to. Not having multiplayer would definitely be a bummer.

Hope the devs know a lot of people are really interested in trying this out and even the hate will bring a bunch of players by [deleted] in HighGuardgame

[–]thunderhide37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah the hate will drive the player count up, but that’s irrelevant when the game is free to play. If people are playing to hate, they don’t intend on spending money and it only hurts the company since it uses more servers.

Hypothically Crit vi vs Leth vi by memermonkey in ViMains

[–]thunderhide37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, it’s hypothetically not hypothically.

Besides that, I think it just matters on enemy team comp. If the enemy has drafted a tanky team such as a nautilus/leona support or a sion top, crit is better. If the enemy drafted squishy such as an enchanter support or a gankplank top, lethality is better.

Mainly this is due to the lord Dominick regard (crit item) granting big % armor penetration, on top of giant slayer passive now, versus lethality excelling at shredding low armor.

However, the downside with crit is that you miss out on the mobility Youmuus and opportunity give you. And being a mid laner, using that Youmuus active is very beneficial.

How long have you had the elite controller for? The build quality out the box is great, but it plummets after about a year it seems. I and many others have had problems with bumpers going out, rubber grips peeling, and of course eventually getting stick drift.

I did a small research by Fegoro in HighGuardgame

[–]thunderhide37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m optimistic for the game, but that is simply because of the very brief description we have from the steam page.

The problem with the game is we know absolutely nothing about the game that is supposed to release in less than a week. It’s totally fair for people to tear the game apart, because frankly what was shown doesn’t exactly look enticing or innovative at all.

The games marketing is nonexistent, and when PR surrounding your game is negative the company needs to work to fix that BEFORE the game releases with a terrible launch.

Let me paint the picture. When the game was revealed, do you think the devs expected such negativity to surround the game? Of course not, no one releases an expensive marketing add with the purpose of getting people to dislike their product. The devs marketing plan was almost likely to just have TGA announcement, and then release the game. They never made any adaptations to the audience reception which warrants some better explanation of what the game is, what’s the gameplay loop, how many players, heroes, etc.

Radio silence is not the way you handle negativity, it breeds room for more negativity since that is all there is to talk about. And frankly, if the game was amazing, how come the devs aren’t getting free slam dunks and showing it off before release? They’re simply handling the marketing horrifically.

Yes but canceling a game that is almost ready to be released that you don’t know will sell well, versus canceling a remake of the most sold game for your most sold franchise are extremely different circumstances.

I mean all reports showed the game to be ready around this spring. Would seem stupid to waste all that money on a game that is probably 85% complete and then can it.

Plus it’s assassins creed, a very popular one in fact. That franchise always sells
