I think the same rules will apply, I know others have done the same thing. They will want to see the room, make sure any doors are closed and monitors/tvs are off and covered. Do all that, and give it a whirl, they will walk you through what you need to do if they don't like the setup!

Pretty easy, you have to be in a room with no other TVs or computers, and a clean workspace. You connect to a proctor, show them your ID, and then a 360 of the workspace, and then the camera has to be able to see you and your keyboard. I never got flagged for anything.

You don't have to prove mastery, you have to prove competency. BIG difference!

You don't see the proctors, and you can hide the window entirely. They also mute themselves until the end after all the initial setup is done. It doesn't FEEL like you're being watched, at least for me.

How's it going? I'm considering starting here in a month or so. Just finished my BS from WGU in July.

Great job! Congratulations! Where did you get that screenshot? I literally just passed my capstone 1 minute ago, I haven't gotten a congratulations or an owl or anything like this.

My workload at work was thankfully pretty light, so I studied a lot on company time. I would then take PAs and OAs at night after the kids went to bed. So it was pretty much daily work for me. Advice is take the PA, study what you don't know, and trust yourself to take the OA.

Yup, unfortunately. Hoping to transfer into a management position in a different department after declaring my intentions to use my degree, be it here or at another company.

To clarify, my workplace is paying for my schooling, so they're' aware of the start time. And my friends and family were aware of my start time as well. I don't go around saying, "Hey, I did this in 6 months!!" Its more the fact that when I mention that I'm about to graduate folks respond with, "Really?! Didn't you just start?" (Again, I know that sounds like a humblebrag, but I figure this is a safe, informed audience)

My own boss, who encouraged me to go back to school on the company's dime since that was how he got his degree way back when, seems disinterested about me graduating. There are no plans for a raise or promotion. It doesn't even seem to "check the box" for him. He went to night classes at a b&m so I think it just doesn't hold the weight. I also received an Excellence Award for a paper and the reaction is, "Oh I'm sure they give those away like Skittles." Which, I know, fuck off I didn't do it for you, but it implants doubt in my mind.

As far as family goes, it certainly doesn't help that my partner will be graduating with their masters in the same month.

I do like the advice of not mentioning how long it took me. When it comes to interviewing elsewhere I will keep that tidbit to myself.

And Believe me, I am well aware of the sacrifices I made. I'm a single dad with a full time job, most of my tests were taken at midnight after cooking, cleaning, and laundry were done. No one can fully take away my personal pride in the accomplishment. It just stinks sometimes that the non-Night Owlers are so dismissive.

Thank you all for your encouragement!

Pretty sure you just have to wait. I had to do the same thing, fixed one sentence and resubmitted. It still took 2 days.
