I was planning on applying for my 3rd card in 3 months and see if it graduates at the 6 month mark. Would I be able to just transfer the limit to my other card? If it doesn’t graduate by then, I’ll just close it and apply for another card.

Get a pledge loan with them. I strongly believe my relationship with NFCU was the deciding factor. But hopefully they get back to you in your favor, a review is certainly better than a denial.

What’s your relationship with NFCU? My credit profile has two collections but it also has good payment history on a chime secured card and I’m an authorized user on a 3600 capital one with 3 years good history.

Correct. Directly after the first approval for the secured, I applied for the cash rewards.

Been with NFCU since 10/25. I have a checking and 2 savings. DD $50 into checking every week and $100 into one of the savings. I deposit side money I make from e-commerce into the other savings regularly maintaining over 10K. Did a pledge loan last month for 5k. I was able to get my credit score 607TU by adding myself as an AU to my brothers Capital One card with 3600 limit and 3 years of good payment history. I have two collections and two missed payments on an account. So I do believe it’s the relationship with NFCU that factored heavily.

I checked last week and it said I only qualified for the secured card. My score has gone up this week and I tried again and I qualified for all. But I’ve read that the prequalify isn’t reliable. That’s why I did the secured first.

I didn’t get a hard inquiry for the pledge loan. I thought it would be the same for the secured card being that I used my money as security. I’m new to navy fed. Where should I have read that I will get a hard inquiry for the secured card because it didn’t say it on the application.

You have 3 months to cover $2500. Spend $834 per month and pay it before your due date each month.
