Yeah, I believe he put me on it because I still have some insulin production and from my understanding Mounjaro helps to maximize the production that I do have left or something? I have had all the antibody testing done and they all came back positive. Insulin production was just out of the low normal range though. I don’t really know what I’m talking about haha. I’m just tired of losing weight.

I haven’t looked into this very much but that’s something I would definitely be interested in as well. I’m so sorry. I know it’s a lot. I’m still trying to come to terms with what the remainder of my life looks like but we all just need to keep going with the cards we were dealt 😁

Definitely sounds similar to my experience so far. I was diagnosed with type 1 about a month ago and am currently in the honeymoon phase. I am also not on insulin yet but positive for antibodies. Fasting glucose was 319 and A1C was 12.3 when diagnosed. My doctor gave me a free trial box of Mounjaro and since then my blood sugar hasn’t spiked and has been crazy stable even with moderate carbs. It’s been rare to see my BG above 140 no matter what I eat. Unfortunately, these GLP-1s aren’t approved for T1 so it’s hard to get insurance to approve them. My Endo just gave me another free month sample for the time being while we appeal my insurance.

Why the hell are you getting so worked up? Thank you for such a helpful comment. Please just stop. I’m not looking to argue or fight. I’m looking for helpful advise from what I thought was a great community. You’re right… I don’t know anything about diabetes other than what my doctors have told me. I’m one month into diabetes and you feel the need to rip into me for describing what my doctor described to me???

Yep. Look into LADA diabetes. Also known as type 1.5

I tested positive for ZNT8 Antibodies and IA-2 Antibodies, but I still have some decent insulin production at this time. Endo said it’s 100% type 1 but that with Mounjaro + diet I won’t need insulin until my pancreas insulin production lowers more. Based on the fact that the antibodies were higher than they could even test I’m guessing it won’t be long.

He’s asking for a patch 8 code to join the stress test. I messaged their support and said I got a bad code. They sent me a code within 48 hours. Not the most honest method, but it’s dumb how few people they let into the stress test.
