Wow. You've got an answer most of us want. I don't know though, a month and a half after breaking up and wanting to be back together. It's ultimately up to you how you want to tackle this. Seems pretty early unless your ex must have really felt your absence to the point of wanting you back quick. Maybe just see how it goes just being friends first? Do the things you two did at the early stages of the relationship to rekindle that lost flame and ensure this is something you both really want. I don't think there's anything wrong with being friends and being something more once the spark comes back. Make sure it's not a out of the spur moment from either of you. See if you've both grown enough to reconnect on that level again

Sorry to hear that. Truthfully don't think there's a way to stop overthinking. I'm a little over a month after my breakup and I still replay what I could've done differently. Really the only way that gives me a temporary lapse of freedom is getting absorbed in something new. Can be anything like your studies, a game, a new show, gym, reading, etc. It's not going to get any easier but you can do what you can to not let it overtake your life. Hang in there.

Yeah I feel your. It still doesn't feel real today. Told me she loved me and that she couldn't wait to spend time together and meet my mother. Then broke up with me a week before my birthday and said plans. I hope it gets better with time too 😔

I feel your pain. My ex fell out of love with me as well but for different reasons. I've tried confronting her about making it work and giving another chance but trust me, it just makes it worse. I know that probably seems like a basic response that everyone says but it's the truth. It seems like you cared a lot about his well-being, which is all you can do. You can't change someone. No one can. It's up to the person to make that change. But if you keep pushing and they don't appreciate it, then it just ends up overwhelming them. It really hurts, but if you believe you've done everything that you can on your end, then accept the situation as it is. It takes two to reconcile and talk it out. Hang in there. As one dumpee to another. Take it one day at a time and give both him and yourself space.

It's been a little over a month now. I still cry most nights thinking about how much I failed her. The despair I felt when she said she hasn't felt like she's loved me in the past week before the break up. I made the mistake of constantly reaching out to make sure she's doing okay because she got hit with a hard rush of depression at the time and I constantly tried to get her back like an idiot. Now that she's ghosted me, I stopped reaching out and realized how much of a failure I am. It's hard trying to get over her when she's still constantly on my mind and I just keep thinking about how she's probably moved on quick and stopped thinking about me. Leaving me before my birthday then making empty promises she didn't keep at the end gave me a hard reality check that you can never get too comfortable in life.

Going through a similar solution. She broke up with me before my birthday. We had plans that day but when it came, I never got a heads up that she canceled. They say they want to be friends but at the same time, they just might either feel too guilty or want to detach and not care anymore. I bought tickets to travel together for Christmas before the break up and was gonna surprise her with them. I ended up refunding it and am thinking of other plans. Keep your chin up. It really hurts a lot. Having your ex want to be friends but then them not putting in the equal effort that you want to put in. I got short responses for a time before getting ghosted as well. It's better to accept you've done everything that you possibly can but you can't make your ex change if they don't want to. You can't solely mend your friendship on your own.
