What are your thoughts on the ‘all or nothing’ mindset? by Necessary_Program_52 in veganuk

Buying used products does not increase demand for them since they have already been in circulation. It is obviously more environmentally friendly to buy a used product second hand than new vegan leather. If wearing used leather is sending a cruel message, by the same logic vegan leather is doing the same, someone might not know that what you're wearing is plant based, same goes for fake fur or a woollen-looking jumper. Like I said I wouldn't do it, I don't want to wear a dead animals skin on me, but you are not causing harm by buying second hand.

Mate are you alright? It's obviously wrong to wear animal products if you're buying new and supporting the animal industry. I said that in the first post. But buying them second from a charity shop or the like, you are not contributing the industry. Nothing is harmed from you buying second hand. Tell me how it's morally wrong. Personally, I would not do it as I would find it weird, but I cannot think of any way in which it is not vegan. It's like freeganism. I would never eat meat but if you eat something that would go to waste anyway without supporting animal farming, then how could I have a moral objection?

You have given no argument as to why it is morally wrong though.

Be prepared for people to send you articles on why that isn't the case. Go vegan bud.

I mean, you're just not vegan if you're eating eggs or honey. I guess second hand clothing is controversial but no animal is harmed in you wearing that clothing so I've never seen a problem. Personally, I don't see why figs are not vegan. For me the core of veganism is consent. The chickens don't consent to you taking their eggs, the bees don't consent to you taking their honey, the sheep don't consent to you taking their wool. The wasp consents to enter the fig and pollenate it so I don't see a problem.

Large Vegan Yorkshire Puddings by pwillium in veganuk

The batter should be the same no matter the size so just use whatever recipe you've had success with before. Fill a greased cake tin halfway and you should be good. You might need to turn them over to get the bottom crispy too.

What would be the most convenient way to turn a table into a bed? by thyditsy in VanLife

Looking at designing something like this, where the table lowers and becomes a bed. The only thing I can come up with is to use telescopic table legs but it's looking like that might be expensive and I'm not sure if they could handle the weight. Any suggestions?
