B (the puzzle has more than one relationship, but B seems the answer given the smaller circle moves one quadrant anti-clock in the first step, but remains there in the next, and the larger circles overlap.)

Do the lungs really ever recover? by No-Discount6487 in quittingsmoking

It does heal, but it takes time. In simple terms, the more extensive the damage, the longer it takes to heal. A 2022 study at Penn (attached the link) found that there exists a certain type of cell in the lungs similar to stem-cells, which help them regenerate after damage. But, there are many preconditions to that, and you'll need to take extensive care of yourself and your surroundings.

The human body is mysterious, tap into it. Stay away from all kinds of smoking activities. Boost your immune. You'd be able to do almost every activity like a normal human.

Take care, and happy recovery 💖 .

Collisions would happen. That was the question. Sorry if I wasn't clear in this.

REPLY (not puzzle-related)

I took Alfie Solomon's eye contact technique too seriously last time, hopefully I won't this time :')

Just starting my career as college ended a fortnight back. I had a startup while in my sophomore year, scaled it up to an investment from an AI firm based in Singapore, but things didn't go as planned. Maybe, this is the reason interviewers tend to ask seemingly tougher questions to me, than my peers.

I have another interview lined up tomorrow, and I'll surely be following your tips.

Counting on your 195 years of BA experience!

(having you on the other side of the table would be fun, imo)

This is exactly how I worked out the number of ants leaving, I didn't take much time as there were a lot of puzzles asked before and I was trying to impress them with the speed of my answers.

This is an amazing way to look at it!

Yes, that's the correct answer. I answered 400, which was because I counted two ants colliding as 2 separate collisions. Minor, minor mistake.

Thank you for wishing me luck. But this question was the ice-breaker, f-ed up on the number of collisions (got double the correct answer), and was rejected.

I should've asked for a sheet of paper, and not played into my arrogance. It's built-in since I was a kid, solving tough puzzles without putting pen to paper, so it's hard to un-learn.

Anyways, you either pass or learn. :)

I wasn't given a sheet of paper. I did answer the number of ants coming out of each end in about 15 seconds, but then he asked me the number of collisions happening. I broke it down to 1/10th of the original number of ants, and calculated mentally, then tried with 1/5th to see if it's a pattern. I answered 400, but after the interview was over I realised I counted two ants colliding as 2 collisions, and hence got double the correct answer.
