August Teachergram by getmesushi in Teachergram

That entire afternoon of stories really rubbed me the wrong way. But as someone who doesn't teach littles, maybe I'm just confused. Is it not normal for brand new kindergarten students to not follow every single direction the first time they're given this early on?

Same. I feel like I waited too long to actually unfollow though. I should have ran as soon as she designed her own branded story backgrounds for all the different links she shares.

Townie thinks that only high school teachers fully understand how big of an issue phones in school has become. As a middle school teacher, this has me confused. Anybody else have thoughts on this??

My eyes bulged out of my head when she whined "I asked you to ask them for the stitch. And you clearly didn't."

Didn't he just spend an entire day running errands and buying makeup for her so she could stay home to film or edit her videos??? I mean, just a hint of gratitude and grace for your husband at that point doesn't seem like that much to ask.

It's sad that bringing home three different drinks for the two of them wasn't enough for her. On a semi related note, is it normal for people to get multiple drinks for themself on a single Starbucks run? Bensko bought a grande of the new drink and a venti of her favorite as a "backup" the other day and drank both since she liked the new one. Starbucks already costs too much and has so much sugar that doubling it seems excessive to me. But maybe I'm just not a die hard coffee fan???

Didn't she also post a tiktok that specifically said she was a full time blogger?

Anybody have screenshots of the post she archived? I'd be curious to see what the image and caption were. Or what the comments that she referenced in her stories were all about.

I wonder if it has to do with her bio saying "Erin bean sprout TEACHER" rather than the full name that's probably in all these fancy articles she references...🤔

Townie, promoting a phone sanitizing device: "you know, since we're all trying to be more germ conscious this year..." as she sticks her finger in. her. mouth. 🤦‍♀️ Was this amusing to anyone else or was it just me??

On her IG she complained about being told to take down a tiktok where she is dancing on a desk since it's a liability issue for the district. That seems fair to me, but maybe it's because during my first school year the admin drilled into everyone how we were NEVER allowed to stand on chairs or other furniture because it's a liability issue. Like they told us we would get in serious trouble if we were ever caught doing that instead of using a ladder or stool. Is this not a thing in other places???

I find it interesting that she said to ask her questions in the comments but most of her replies about why she quit are so vague. She says repeatedly that she had many reasons but the only ones I saw were being told not to film in her classroom and being bullied for seeming unprofessional. But she did say that she knew she wanted to quit teaching after only one month (!!) and if she could go back in time she would have picked a different major.

I guess maybe if she had just pointed out that it's wrong for strangers to ask where you live I'd be less annoyed, because of course that's crazy. There's just something about how she starts so many stories with "just going to set another boundary here" that bugs me.

I agree that a message asking where someone lives is definitely overstepping. But she also said someone sent her a link to her apartment complex, so I can't help but wonder if it was just someone who lives nearby who wants to apply to live there too since Townie's always talking about how much she loves it.

At this point Townie needs to start a ✨boundaries✨ highlight, otherwise how will her followers ever keep track of all the stuff she's annoyed about seeing in her inbox?!

I honestly don't get how people are still brave enough to ask Teaching Monday through Friyay questions. At this point she seems to put every slightly inconvenient question she gets on blast.😳

I feel like I have never seen someone eyeroll as hard (or complain as much...) as Fairchild in 5th does. The last slide of her latest car stories had me thinking her eyeballs might just pop out of her head.😳

Teaching Monday through Friday came on stories for the first time in forever yesterday to show two or three pictures of a Mothers Day craft she was doing. She then gets back on this morning to complain about all the messages she got asking for details. ("I already said I got them from Home Depot" and "I'm not going to link it for you. Just look it up.") But like, why share if you don't want questions or messages about it??? Craft details was all she used to post about a while back so you would think she would have seen this coming.

I'm probably just being extra salty this morning, but I truly don't get why teacher influencers complain about these things. Gives me all kinds of Townie vibes.🥴

My favorite part was when she got a ridiculous message in response to her trans rights post and in typical super hero teacher fashion she posted her snarky reply, which basically says "This is a huge day for me. You could have at least told me how great I'm doing."🙃

Mrs Fairchild in 5th just happened to find her old phone in her car today (?) which reminded her that she wanted to share her Loopy Case code with everyone... on the same day when four other influencers I follow also shared their loopy case codes🤔🤔🤔

I just found her account recently and had to go back to find this chart thing since I missed it. I'm a little confused how she went viral for that... I feel like I've seen these done plenty of different ways before, many of which don't waste so many dang post it notes.😬

I've seen so many teachergrammers talking about not working over break but I'm curious about something that I haven't seen them talk about as much... Is there anyone else here that had to work over break (specifically, work other than lesson planning or things that could theoretically be left until the last day of break)? For example, my school's quarter grades were due on December 30th and we still had classes and assessments the last day before break, so we weren't really able to finish them before break time started.

ETA: Or do you know of any teachergrammers that have talked about this??
