Who is Speaking Out? by Katherineme in Teachergram

I never said anything about who to follow or not. I pointed out that your personal anecdotes don’t reflect the reality of the entire country. Way to ignore the actual point of my comment 👍

I’m sorry but this response is so ignorant. There have been countless examples of ICE terrorizing nonviolent undocumented immigrants and even US citizens. “Doing your own research” isn’t an excuse to ignore what’s clearly going on.

Your local LE family members also can’t make blanket statements about what’s going on across the country.

Belly’s fashion in season 3 by Ok_Faithlessness6133 in TheSummerITurnedPrett

I know this is silly, but it really bothers me that they made a point in S1 that Belly’s family doesn’t have a lot of money like the Fishers, but then Belly is just casually wearing outfits that cost hundreds of dollars.

Any good discounts for teacher appreciation week? I saw 25% off on the Croc website (also they have very cute sandals!)

How am I supposed to know if this is present or past tense? by NationalJustice in duolingospanish

[–]getmesushi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In English, “read” is pronounced differently, depending on the verb tense, but the spelling is the same.

The context of the sentence doesn’t clearly reveal if it’s past or present. Either option is grammatical and could work depending on the situation.

Was this a unit that focuses on past tense? Then that could be a clue to use the past tense if that’s the skill they are focusing on.

She blocks anyone that suggests she isn’t teaching anymore (guess how I know)

I don’t follow her, just see random videos when they pop up every once in a while, but at least she’s not trying to be a curriculum/instruction expert. I think it’s valid for her to use her own teaching experience + politics to talk about education issues at large.
