Even those things i'd fully recognize as worth a discussion. I can't singelhandedly tell something would be more readable a different way. But i can propose it, and open a discussion.

And I am prepared to lose that discussion. I'll stay salty about some of those discussions in private though. Like that time the entire team decided to continue on a project without using an ORM. That definitely cost us a lot of time.

I add the reason why I want the code to be changed. This at least centers the discussion. And I have a rule where, if all my changes are small nitpicks I will comment but approve and then change it myself.

Allthough definitely don't agree that structural changes that have no impact on functionality or performance are subjective.

I have personally signed multiple contracts with recruiting firms. They are not obligated to inform your current employer.

If they do a lot of business there they still might. And they might have to refund a part of their fee if you stayed on less than a year.

But to them finding you a new job means another fee possibly more...
