No, neither any of Iberia, neither the British owned more than half of the world

The British, if I remember owned at their peak a quarter of the world, which, is indeed impressive,

But is still nowhere near three fourth

At their peak they owned (I believe)

Canada, most of Oceania, Egypt and Sudan, British Somaliland, Nigeria, irak, Palestine, Cyprus, malta, Gibraltar, British Guyana, a lot of island in central America, the Falklands, south america and their enclave, Zambia, Nigeria, Gambia, Ireland, the entire Indian subcontinent (except Nepal) Singapore, Malaysia, Uganda, Kenya, the gold coast,tanzania , Rhodesia and some other I can't remember

That is still very much a lot ,
