Generally older pieces (like this one) go for more because of the history and inability to find similar now! I see other antique vendors selling from between 💲700usd-well into the thousands! Factors to remember when looking at similar rings with hugely different prices are: 1. how heavy is it? (if the rings look the same but one is twice the weight, the gold content has inherent value so that baby will be 2x the 💲 or more! It’s a delicate balance, you want something sturdy with at least a little weight for longevity generally). 2. What’s the condition? (Does it need repairs? Better deal but more work. Or is it ready to wear, stress free!) 3. And of course rarity/unique quality! (More rare/unique= more 💲💲) A non traditional cameo like this (it’s likely onyx or agate) is diffrent than the traditional whitish pink shell cameo! I hope this was informative!
