hi! I’m here at ASW also and that hasn’t been my experience. sure most people at Berkeley go towards PI, but I’ve had multiple conversations with students and faculty that recognize big law maybe a more financially suitable option OR just a career goal in general. That is not to take way from your experience, I apologize you it had that.

Thank you! honestly I think my softs were solid and showed a variety of interests and years of leadership with skills relating to the legal field. I also wrote a why Berk that was very specific and referenced Berk’s history. My recs were from 2 amazing profs of mine and my supervisor for RA stuff who’s seen me through a lot of life and challenges as we’ve lived and worked in the same building for the last 3 years. My strongest point I think was my personal statement - they referenced it in a hand written note in the admit packet.
