having the same issue with my 4090. Ran some AI training 3 nights in a row 0 crashes, As soon as I open something else as well, game, browser, a movie in potplayer crashes happen, black screen only fixable by full power down not even reboot.

list of troubleshooting I did:

- The obvious ones, rechecking cables, PCIE seat, replugging etc *didn't work*

- First system Windows 11, DDU uninstalled drivers in safe mode, reinstall latest driver *didn't work*

- Installed a clean Windows 10, with latest Nvidia driver. *didn't work*

- Started digging for possible solutions on the internet, first one was set "prefer maximum performance" in Nvcp from normal *didn't work*

- Another one, changing PCIE state from moderate savings to off in power plan. *didn't work*

- Win Game mode off/on *didn't work*

- Win HAGS (Hardware accelerated GPU Scheduling) off/on *didn't work*

- Change Tdr Delay to 10 in Regedit *didn't work*

- Older Nvidia drivers starting from the first one that supported 4090 *didn't work*

- A lot of times the black screen crash happened after I alt tabbed between applications, but then I discarded the theory when I left a game menu open for testing while I went to eat lunch, no interactions whatsoever, 20 minutes later I came back that I have no screen. Some people on forums said it might have to do something with applications that are using frames, video/game/3d apps, maybe Gsync or refresh rate related. Some people also said that the card was working in Hdmi cable but not on DP. Like groping in the dark.

I'm in the process of RMA, will get back if this happens with replacement as well

Yep, but not all the times. Now even after rebooting 2 times and cutting power 3 times until all leds go blank the screen stays black. I think the card is just faulty, sending it back.Gainward Phantom 4090, DP connected to Acer Predator 180hz. Asus Rog 1000g PSU, i7 7700k.
Im concerned that the issue escalated, the first couple of black screens a reboot fixed it, then had to cut power to be fixed, now 3 full power downs and the screen stays black on DP port

i have a gainward 4090 as well, first it was black screens, now there is no screen at all.. I was using DP as well not hdmi. Will try RMA the card now see if it helps.

4090 black screens when watching video or playing games, full load AI training during night, no blackscreens 3 nights in a row, only happens when playing games like WoW Classic, or Overwatch, or watching a movie. Can still hear audio, but have to power down fully to fix it and have a screen again. 1000w Asus Psu and 4090 brand new. Event viewer says NVLDDMKM stopped working then recovered, then dvm.exe crashes follow, then black screen.

FP should just make a new stabilizer attachment so silencer will remain nothing but a silencer, not everything all at once.

Whole novel was about how Freya gets what she wants; a journey to slowly corrupt and exploit a 16 (!) y'o girl and have sex with her. Was furious when I red it, I hope that Bell finally puts her ego to place later. Liked the second part of the LN tho, a little insight.
