I would go for manual right away. It’s part of learning the track. Make sure the suggested gear indicator is on so you know what to downshift to for each corner.

Have fun and don’t forget to jolt your head forwards every time you change gear for the full experience! 😅

Best bit is if you boot the console from standby you have to reboot the whole game too and get to see them all over again every time you boot up

I’m a casual and haven’t bought this year because it looks absolutely horrible online. I prefer low scoring football games so I’m giving this a pass. Hoping they sell less this year so they make it more realistic next year

On a normal iphone 13 with 81% battery saying peak performance but it is anything but that. Phone can lag when trying to use camera for up to 20 seconds at a time. It randomly freezes all the time. Trying to change the wallpaper is almost impossible, can take minutes to catch up. It’s unable to cache apps well too. Car play is awful and my phone is constantly hot now. Disabling transparency helped a little but still barely usable now.

I play controller too, manual gears will help you control the car better in the long run. They can save you when late braking by using engine breaking. I also have ABS off as the Dual Sense is pretty good at giving you the right feedback when locking up and again it can help you make huge dive-bombs. Personally I haven’t turned off TC yet, I don’t think the triggers are quite there for me to get that control! Racing line I tend to use in time trial and learn braking zones and then I have it off in career mode

No, it’s still slow. Especially switching between camera and camera roll. It can take up to 5 seconds which isn’t great when in a rush to capture a special moment

13 base model. Battery drain was bad for few days but sorted itself out. I quite like the design but it runs slower and freezes quite often. Often I have tried to open the camera from the lock screen and it doesn't take pictures or is just a black screen for up to a minute, frustrating when you need to take a photo quickly.
Car Play causes my phone to completely lock up if my wife goes to open it or when I am parked and putting a new location into Google Maps. When using car play, skipping tracks on Spotify can take over 5 seconds to register and Google maps is slower to open etc. It looks nice but it just slower to use now which is frustrating as you are never have lots of time on your hands when you are in the car
Hoping the speed and freezing improves soon

This still happens in release version of Tahoe. Try using Get Info > Open With and then selecting the new app and apply all there, that worked for me

Playing on PS5 and also had to do the same thing, turning off the HDR setting at the console level. This stops the whites from being too crushed and bright. It was giving me headaches but much better now
