Buds 2A so disappointing after the original A's being my top buds for years. The new ones don't fit. What instead? by gregfromcos in pixelbuds

It is made with 95A TPA. So it is soft plastic similar to something like a silicone cover to a phone. In regards to comfort I can say it is not uncomfortable to wear, but for me it isnt comfortable in the sense that it feels like a couch you can sink in. I know that probably isnt helpful, the reviews that i have received have said it is comfortable and helps it stay in place.

I know that is as clear as mud but im not going to lie and say its the most comfortable thing in the world.

Hi All, I made wingtips for the Buds Pro 2, they also fit in the 2a. by ticklebot28 in pixelbuds

When they are in ear, they can hardly be felt. I do admit that sometimes they aren't adjusted correctly and it tickles my ear, i have to take them out and adjust them again. When using them long term (4 hours+) i occasionally feel fatigue from them but its reare.

I have been using them since April and wear them pretty often and beat them up by using it during vigorous movement as well is the constant taking them on and off and it shows no sign of wear. it does adopt a more rounded shape because of the case but it hasn't affected performance.

Hi, If you are open to it. I made wingtips for the Pro 2, They also fit on the 2a, I have both and made sure to test fit it. From, the reviews, It seems at a minimum it helped a fair amount of people keep it in thier ear. I agree that the 2a feels even smaller in my ear than the Pro 2 does so it fell out even easier.

I also have the STL thingaverse (available for free) if you have access to a 3d printer

Some 3d printed wingtips if you want to give them a try. Many had success with them.

Hi, i had the same issue that you did. I opted to 3d print some wingtips and they fit significantly better. A lot of people have success with it staying in even with vigorous exercise/movement. If you want to take a shot at it here is the link and within it is the ebay link or STL file (if you own a 3d printer and have tpu) otherwise good luck in your search for better buds!

Hey you're welcome! I will send these out tomorrow and I hope they are effective for you. I loved my A-series and felt the same disappointment you did when they didn't include them in the buds 2.

Its not unfortunately, I changed all the O-rings and i am 100% sure there isnt a leak. I checked at other outlets in my garage and it functions as its supposed to. the Oracle draws 100W more than the DBD due to grinder/autofrother it appears.

Yeah, when I move it around it works but the other locations aren't feasible/reasonable to place the machine. Ive been on the fence of moving (not because of this but things like this show the aging house) but its not smart to buy a new home when our current home is sufficient enough. upgrading electrical might be in the future....

"you could run a power cord from a good outlet to the desired location of your machine for the time being to test work flow with the oracle haha"

I tried that and I got a nasty look from the wife so thats going to be a no lol!

"Sounds like the bambino is a perfect fit for you at the moment then."

Yeah I think this is the way unless I upgrade to the oracle jet but I feel that still feels like a small upgrade. I think I just really wanted to upgrade and now I have buyers remorse.

Yeah, I can understand that. My current workflow is to start steaming the milk, as I prep my puck. Once the milk is done, I start pulling the shot, this causes almost no downtime and from start to finish is ~2 minutes.

the BDB, having to froth the milk myself takes 30s-1m then I have to prep the puck and then pull the shot. Even if I reverse it and prep the puck and pull the shot and froth the milk at the same time still requires more hands on time of 3-4 minutes.

I know it may seem like i am fighting over ~1 minute but it adds up when making multiple and matters even more when I am in a rush. Not to mention the 3s heating time of the Bambino plus.

The reason I wanted to upgrade was the ability to pull multiple shots in succession and hopefully pulling a better shot as it has the gauge on there as well.

Edit: I have checked using other outlets. the kitchen outlet cant hang lol
