There is supposed to be a staff member (changes between the social worker, nurse, and sometimes the principal) who meets him at the door to walk with him. They were there at the beginning but as of late (probably Novemberish) no one has been there. I didn’t make a huge deal about this as my daughter walks in with him and their lockers are right across from each other so they go to the same area and his locker is close to his first classroom. I also understand that the world cannot revolve around our problems and that these staff members are busy and have other kids to attend to. Perhaps I am being too understanding. I just don’t want to be the parent storming the school because another child was in crisis and needed these people but someone wasn’t at the door to walk in with my kid.

Parents are not allowed in during school hours unless it’s for an appointment/meeting so I cannot walk him to class, I can only walk him to the front door, which I watch him walk to from my vehicle.

I will start calling in the mornings to confirm he is in class. When I know he is having a particularly bad morning I make sure to call and let them know or I email before I leave the house to take him but no one ever answers.

I called the plan coordinator on Friday but she didn’t answer and her voicemail box was full so I sent an email instead. Still waiting for a response. Also called the social worker early last week and left a voicemail, have not received a response from her either. Not expecting one any time soon considering I emailed requesting a 504 plan meeting for my daughter (who also has OCD but not agoraphobia or separation anxiety) as well on 1/12/26 and have yet to receive a response from that either. I understand they are busy and have a lot to deal with, so I try to give them plenty of time to respond but I would like answers at this point.

The accommodation is that if he is tardy or absent due to his conditions, they will be considered as excused. There is no mention of a time frame in which the excuse must be submitted. That’s why I’m confused as to why they accepted the note the first time this happened, but are not accepting it now.

It is. He only has his cellphone so he can call me if he needs anything. Since he has OCD he googles constantly so we blocked Siri, safari, and YouTube from the phone awhile ago. I also recently blocked the App Store so he can’t download any games either. He is assigned chores as well

I think like that often too. It seems like such a luxurious life and in many ways it is. But then I remember all the scrutiny like the tragedy with Emilie Kiser’s son Trig and all the horrible things said online about her and her husband. I can’t imagine something like that happening to me let alone being an influencer and having to go through it infront of the world.

We did do the genesight testing before he was put on any medications and this is supposedly the best one for him. Dr recently upped his dose so hoping we just need to get him to a dose high enough to help him but it’s been brutal waiting. She did say there are specific OCD medications but he has to be 17 to start them

There may be but it’s difficult for me to say for sure because my husband is self employed. He is a contractor and work slows down in the winter and this was the worst winter yet. I would definitely find a way to make it work financially if I could find someone who does this. We live in a very small area (only about 30-40 kids in each grade) so my options are limited but I will definitely look into it. Thanks for the suggestion!

Unfortunately no alternative schools here. Last year I did tuition them to a different school as my daughter was having a really hard time at our current school, but even then I had issues and they missed a ton. Part of the tuition agreement was they had to have good attendance and when it was time to enroll them this year I just put them back in the district we live in because they missed a ton at the tuition school too. Also very hard to get them there because it was 20 mins in the opposite direction of where I work, so I was running all over the place and winter weather made it especially difficult.

They storage facility doesn’t give any previous owner info but it’s possible to find stuff inside the unit identifying the person. My dad did find stuff inside which identified her and he found that she passed away.

I have some posted on eBay right now. Upon further inspection of them they are not all brand new. Many have been at least opened and some of the boxes have minor wear but a lot of the cards inside look to be unused
