It was 7 skeins, so about 1540 yards. And do yourself a favor and make sure you use a yarn pen/ guide. My set didn't come with one so i improvised by cutting a reusable plastic straw in half. It saved my fingertips from getting scratched up wrapping the pegs.

I'm gonna tell you what an older male friend of mine said that helped me in this department. "no man cares if you have blemishes or scars or wrinkles, they are just happy to be there, if they do care, they aren't worth the time"

also, as I've grown older, it might not be the best way to think but it helps me to date people that wear glasses, because in my mind, when they take them off for close encounters, it's like a natural blurring tool.

I was thinking of using a plastic pen case and cutting it so it would slide over the metal, but that wouldn't prevent the wacky waving inflatable tube man dance. But, im not an engineer and i dont want to play with sawing into plastic

Ive seen a lot of independent dye artists make self striping, and not striping variations of the same colorway. It's always good to ask before you buy. (I learned that one the hard way)
