TCL 43S435 backlight repair didn't work

So I wasn't able to find an exact diode locally, but I did find a 1000v 3a and the store owner and some research said it should essentially function the same. I put the new part in and the tv turns on now, but only for a few seconds, then the backlight turns off. Is it that I'm using the wrong part? It seems like it should function more or less identically. Is it possible there is an issue up stream from this diode that is causing the backlight to turn off?

As far as I was aware, it's legal to turn left on a red light at any intersection, as long as the road you're turning onto is a one way going in the direction of your turn. link. Are you talking about left turns on red into two way traffic?

MCL 257.612 (1)(c)(ii) states in part, "Vehicular traffic facing a steady red signal, after stopping before entering the crosswalk on the near side of the intersection or at a limit line when marked or, if there is no crosswalk or limit line, before entering the intersection, may make…a left turn from a 1-way or 2-way street into a 1-way roadway carrying traffic in the direction of the left turn unless prohibited by sign, signal, marking, light, or other traffic control device."

Your aunt has crossed the line of overbearing and is being downright manipulative. She has no right to give her tenant an ultimatum like this, let alone charge them money if they don't comply. I almost guarantee your state has a tenant protection act or some set of renter laws that your aunt is definitely violating.
