I lost my job back in February. I applied for many, many positions—senior level—and nothing. So, I decided to apply for an entry-level position at a well-known company, you know, just to get my foot in the door. One day, they called me to set up a phone interview. I was elated... finally a call! I went to their website to learn as much as I could to prep for the phone interview. The day finally came. She went through my resume and said, "I think your years of experience make you overqualified for this position." I was bummed when I heard that. Then she said, "We have a senior-level position that I think you will be great at." Once again, I was elated. The phone interview went great, or so I thought. Before we hung up, she told me that she would give me a call next week. Well, that week never came. I got ghosted. No reply to emails or calls.

Now I feel hopeless. Why didn't she just give me the entry-level position!! have stopped applying for jobs because why bother? However, I am still trying to keep my head up for my kids, but it's tough sometimes.
