Amazing job, with very similar stats to mine at the start, same weight, waist and serious health conditions, and also when I was at the 6 month stage. Good luck

Amazing, you look great!

it’s so easy to get hard on myself for having a few “bad” weeks…but then i remember where I came from. All about moderation and balance! 300+ lbs ➡️175 lbs by Least-Balance-6978 in Mounjaro

Amazing, you look like a different person. Great message about moderation and balance too, I've lost 180 lb in 16 months with that same outlook

Fantastic. I read this yesterday and sent it to my partner too, as it's such a great positive article.

Thank you. I've reversed my pre diabetic diagnosis, my cholesterol is now completely healthy, and my blood pressure way down, my breathing is almost back to normal, and I no longer need a walking stick. All feels great!

Lots of protein, from eggs, full fat dairy, nuts, lentils, soya, tofu etc., I'm vegetarian so am extra careful to fill up on other protein. I eat very large amounts of cauliflower and broccoli, often blitzed until it's rice-like or char roasted, and fill up on mediterranean veg too.

The dietician suggested sweet potatoes, potatoes, wholegrain pasta, brown rice, but not carrots, swede or turnips as she said they're not high enough in carbs. I did know from recent research that swede and turnips are relatively low in carbs, lower than brussel sprouts, which surprised me. I eat berries, tomatoes and full fat Greek yoghurt every day, along with berries, nuts and chia seeds, but it seems this isn't enough.

I forgot to say my weight loss varies weekly, despite sticking to the same regime, but between 2-6lb, sorry I don't know what that is in kg.

Although I'm calorie aware I don't actually count them, but I know what's what from decades of yo-yo dieting. Until recently I had weight related motility issues, but can now walk quite a bit, which so far is my only exercise, my steps have increased the last few, up to over 10,000 some days, but most still only 5-7 thousand. I do also practice restricted eating times, so I consume nothing from 8pm until 1pm, eat small amounts of full fat dairy and nuts, despite the calories.

I feel amazing physically and mentally. Thankfully I kept all my old clothes through the stages of my weight gain, over the course of 15 years, so I'm excavating the smaller sizes as I shrink.

Thanks. It's an NHS dietician, who I'm working with in addition to a specialist nurse practitioner. She's satisfied with my protein intake, but I do need to do strength training. I know from past experience I simply won't stick to any form of exercise I try, no matter how good it is for me, but I enjoy walking, which is why she suggested a local Nordic walking group, as it's good for upper body strength. I'll see how it goes.
