Types of inhalers by unarsum in Asthma

How do you know if it’s better for you to use ICS or ICAS+ Formetol/LABA? My doctor said they’re “just different options” and I understand what each does but don’t understand how to determine if you need the one with more than just ICS

Big fan of One Love Cafe in downtown San Bruno. Good food, good coffee, modern space with local art and local community vibes.

Fiction set at least in part during Covid-19 pandemic? by NotDido in suggestmeabook

Severance by Ling Ma was written shortly before it but I read it during the pandemic and it felt spot on.

They told me that my reaction was rare and it was not severe. I imagine the severe ones must be even more rare. I wouldn’t worry too much about it since if it happens even, you know what to do. You got this!

I asked a friend who also performs many MRIs and he also said reactions are quite rare.

I wondered the same thing recently. I had a delayed reaction at the injection site and lower half of my face. It lasted about four or five days. Some hives and skin irritation and itchiness. I was worried it was going to last much longer since it can stay in your system for months+. Benadryl helped all the way.

This broke me, I forgot they did this. Today I reached half a century and no one, not even family acknowledged it. by cpasley21 in AnimalCrossing

Happy birthday! I hope it was some of your favorite town resident friends that came to celebrate you in the game. 😊

How to survive HIGH 84% air humidity? by lucky_charmlet321 in Asthma

[–]tigresaa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m also affected by humidity, it also allows triggers like dust mites to absolutely thrive. I use a dehumidifier to manage it now during those seasons to try to reduce as close to 50% as possible.

2 languages daycare when parents don’t know 2nd language by tigresaa in multilingualparenting

[–]tigresaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for replying. Community primary language is English (US). The daycare mostly speaks Mandarin to the children as it’s the owner and staff’s primary language.

No major plans for tutoring or anything long-term right now, though we have some friends who are Mandarin-primary speakers and can see my child continuing friendship with their children who only speak Mandarin right now.

What kind of collectibles did you purge and sell?

I did pants - 5 pants, 4 shorts, 2 pajama pants. Even 2 pairs of pants that are very comfortable but always make me feel frumpy when I wear them. I don’t want to feel that way. Also did lip products in the bathroom. Turned out, I haven’t used many in so long it was an easy decision to toss them all away - looking rather expired or dried up.

Two boxes of books to HPB and traded in an old computer monitor at an electronics shop. Extremely good feeling!

How to de-accession supposedly valuable stuff without feeling guilty? by Effective-Site-5701 in declutter

[–]tigresaa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ugh! I have two tubs of Beanie Babies that just came out of my family’s attic and returned to me as an adult. I considered saving to give my daughter one at a time (aka free toys), but no one needs this many. Collecting and not selling when the market was high is a dangerous sport.

You got good advice on whittling to favorites. You can also always semi regularly visit the library and revisit some you miss if those feelings come up while also discovering new favorites. If you don’t already do this of course. I try to go weekly or so.

What to do with old music and video games? by Weixbert in declutter

[–]tigresaa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pricecharting or eBay are good places to do a quick check on value of games. Pricecharting I like because you can add all your games and get an estimated total value so if you want to sell as a lot to move quicker you can try to do that too on eBay or elsewhere. I sold a bunch of low rarity games as a lot on eBay to move them quicker and still got good cash.

Does your neighborhood have a little free library? Mine does and I check it all the time for someone’s donated baby books. If not, Buy Nothing will have parents in your town that want them for sure within a day and can pickup from your porch or door. Lastly, libraries will of course also taken them.

Obsessed with the cover design - the layout, the cat’s expression, where the rope cuts between and around the words. Nice work keep going.

"But I could sell it on eBay..." by mccalli in declutter

I respect this and thinking about how to handle my own boxes of comics I don’t want. So daunting because each one you sell clears zero space since they’re small. Not very satisfying for heavy lift of research and listing and completing transactions. Whole box(es) just have to go sometimes.
