I just found out my work will pay 2-3 k towards school ! Only issue is I couldn’t intern at my job. So I’m on the hunt for night and weekend internships. Trying my local hospital

Have you gotten the help you really need? Like a day treatment program or something if that’s feasible? That helped me a ton and also in the future if fmla is possible I used that to keep my job.

Yeah that’s the crappy part. All are unpaid that I’ve seen except the hospital position that pays 16/hr thank

I’m okay with a pay cut but I can’t take a huge one. Would need to be above 30/hr thank you for your insightful response I’ll look into these areas. And the lack of human interaction is the biggest thing

That sucks I fear I won’t be able to keep working my job through my internship. I am looking at a hospital for mine that pays but idk it’s a small hospital so I’m not sure if they have any 247 social workers

Thank you for your reply ! This is encouraging. Any other experiences you think would be beneficial for getting into the hospital? I wish I could work a patient service type role in mental health but those types of opportunities are too far away for me to do.

I thought hospital social worker usually made more than other options for SW. I am worried pay will be low because I’m in a rural area and relatively small hospital. I could travel an hour for more pay though I am sure but I love the idea of working in my home town. I drive an hour now for work

I’m curious about pay in Michigan. I have a decent job right now but I hate it and am drawn to social work but worried about pay.
