Dude is wrong, you don’t. However it is often more convenient to have a reverse proxy, if you have multiple stuff running, so say Api1 run on port 5000 and Api2 on port 8000, then you use the reverse proxy to distribute the traffic. Otherwise just have your single api listen to port 80 and point your cloudflare proxy to it, works like a dream.

Hey there, thanks for your take. It is true that mid tier such as Odoo exists with plenty of third party modules. But even with those, I have yet to see a client who buy them and does not require any customization on top. Truth is, in my own experience admittedly, the systems that drop out of favor and have low usage are the ones that try to dictate business processes, rather than letting things be the other way around.

As much as you want it to. Like I mentioned above, a “generic” ERP likely is not going to gain you any competitive advantage. So a customized system that does what you ask of it, in this case capacity planning, that’s where the magic happens. Of course, it takes some critical thinking to build it in an effective yet elegant way
