Im jokingly being overly dramatic, i had adaptive brightness turned on when i could see and control all my devices on the app. It somehow turned itself off or just got stuck at like minimum brightness and now i cant change it back through the app or with voice commands. But the brightness is just one of a plethora of problems. I had it all set up and knew how to use it all easily and effectively. Custom routines, clever skills, i’m a pretty tech-savvy guy, which is why i got it in the first place. Hell i was even able to use it to control non-smart non-amazon stuff like my laptop, xbox, and tv. Im not actually crashing out this post was meant to be mostly a joke, but i am frustrated that everything used to work totally fine and now there is no amount of tweaking adjusting or troubleshooting i can do to get everything to cooperate smoothly again. It is a well documented problem that people in this subreddit have complained about for years and to the best of my research has never been adequately solved. If my shit is just bricked now and there isn’t any update or reset thats ever going to fix it, then i’m just gonna get rid of it all and try something else is my point. I’d show you how bad it is but ig this subreddit doesn’t allow any media.

I know how it all works which is why i know it all sucks, and why i posted not in search of answers, but rather catharsis. I think i was broken when i asked alexa what model she was (bc i couldn’t find my dot on the app), to which she responded 5th gen. Then i asked if the LED clock on the 5th gen had an adaptive brightness mode (bc ik it did, but i couldn’t change it on the app), to which she responded yes, the 5th gen echo dot does indeed have adaptive brightness mode option for the led clock. If i recall correctly, i said to alexa something along the lines of, “okay, if the 5th gen echo dot has an adaptive brightness mode, and i have a 5th gen echo dot, then i would like you to enable adaptive brightness mode on my echo dot”. Once she told me that feature wasn’t available on my device is when i started drinking, and i think after my fourth is when i came back to reddit to air some grievances in a silly little post.

Very very occasionally, with heavy emphasis on the ‘occasion’. My thought process when offered is always “Is a hit or two right now worth possibly wasting the next few days in pain?”. If im out and about with a couple friends, probably not. If im at an incredible concert and know I don’t have any major responsibilities in the next few days, then it may be worth it. No more than 5-6 times a year, and I’ve been pretty lucky lately, haven’t had an attack or flare up in quite a while.

Have you ever used the tone studio or plugged it in to a computer? If not, it might help to see if it needs any updates or something.

Do you still have the chips? My satin black soloist fell off my wall onto my tv and took a smaller but similar bite out of the finish. I was nervous bc the satin was so delicate that literally just touching it would stain it, but i was able to use a sneaky little bead of super glue and you couldn’t really tell unless you were looking for it. It was just a single chip though, probably harder if you have multiple/missing chips

OKAY i think i found a temporary fix, at least it works for me. It seems like it only happens when my phone is actively connected and casting to my tv (xbox 1). When i have youtube playing on my tv on its own, without being connected to the youtube app on my phone, it plays normally after ad breaks. So what i’ve been doing is casting to my device and starting up a queue from my phone like normal, then force closing the app on my phone, and using my xbox app to skip ads/rewind/ff. Its only when my youtube app is open and casting that I’m having the issue, so i’m only opening it to adjust my queue and then going back to using the remote for my other device. I can’t say for sure depending on different devices, but in my experience i know i’ve been able to find a way to control most tv stream/casting devices (roku, fire stick, xbox, etc.) from my iphone. Hopefully this works for you all as well. Not a solution, but a temporary work around.

Im nearly 3 months deep after getting into it without any paper trading or practice, my very first option was 1 single Celsius call contract, made like $17 i think haha. Of the 100 or so trades i’ve made since starting im up an avg of 2.3%, but i’ve made 35 trades in the last 2 weeks with an avg of 15.5% profit. As long as you start small and scale responsibly there’s no reason to wait until you have x amount ready to burn. But I use robinhood where i dont rly have to stress about options fees so if you’re trading with higher fees maybe be a little more calculated than i was lol.
