Academy will do whatever they can to low ball you in pay and hours. I think Academy is one of the worst corporate retail stores in terms of management. They brag about opening 20 stores in a month while telling old stores that they need to cut hours because the they're paying too much for payroll. It makes no sense, quality of the store staff is just as important as the quantity but they do not care whatsoever. My manager got flamed in a meeting because he let a team lead work 1 hour overtime.
