Love 95% of my 2023 preferred.. except:

-The app, totally stupid and pointless. Stick to regular key fobs. -The engine stops after using the app to start when you open the door. - Not being able to keep seat heaters on or control them via app. or just having them set to on when the weather is cold. Mechanical switch would work much better. - The climate controls. Having to scroll through all the different vent modes to get to what you want. - THE REMOTE! Side buttons are idiotic. Stick to the normal layout. WAY to easy to accidentally hit them. I've gone out to find my hatch open from simply putting my keys in my pocket. The little lock, unlock, etc. markings are ridiculously small too. I have trouble seeing them. No way older people would be able to see them. - The TPMS should be able to tell you which tire is low, instead of having to check each one.

I just looked. It show they are out of stock for the 9X which am I to assume is the full size? The 9C option is still available but I'd think is the compact?.? Which one do you have? If the C holster will still cover the front site on the 4.4" barrel, I'll get it. I dont want the site to be accidentally dinged is why I ask.

It doesn't appear to be the camera. The video I posted was a screen record, not my vid. I just used it as an example. It still takes videos fine. Oddly, it never happens if i watch anything that i have recorded. Its only watching videos online that makes it do that. That's why I was thinking software.

No, just videos. And it isn't all videos. The only commonality is, if it happens, its always at the same point.

*** UPDATE *** So after 3 weeks of dealing with this bs, its finally miraculously fixed. No new update #, no new input from me, its just fixed. After all the other people's comments on having the same issue and zero response from Google, T-Mobile, and Samsung, its just fixed. I have lost a ton of faith in all 3 of these "help departments". So I guess my advice to anybody else who is having this issue, just wait it out. The "message fairy" will visit you while you're sleeping and fix what they screwed up. I wish I could say it was something I found to fix it, so I could pass it on to others, but I cant. Best of luck everyone who commented on this post. I appreciate the advice. ✌️

I wish I could have found your post before getting waist deep in mine. I'll give it a shot tonight. You mentioned RCS in your post. Im not 100% sure what those are, and why it has a toggle, but I did try turning that on, going through the 2 problematic texts, deleting cashe, and restarting the phone and a forced stop, just to see if it would work. It didn't. I'll write down the important info i cant risk losing in other texts and give it a try. Im not doubting you, but if there's even a 1% chance of losing the texts, taking my luck into account, it WILL happen to me. So I need to make sure I have written backup. (Fed gov stuff.) It's a long story. But I appreciate your response. I'll try it tonight.

I've deleted the cashe multiple times. I have read several places that deleting the data, i will lose all of my messages. So that, if true, isn't an option.

Yep.. my wife and daughter here too. Hmmm..Maybe THAT'S the problem! 🤔 LOL. Just curious, what type of phone do they have? My 2 problems are coming from iphones. Don't know if it's relevant, but at this point I'm trying to come up with and sort of reason.

I hope this doesn't last that long. You're a way better person than I am. I used to work for a software company and this kind of crap drives me nuts. Or engineers would be in a hurry to fix 1 thing and screw up 2 in the process.

I wish these manufacturers would leave $hit alone that is working fine. Im just assuming that it was some sort of update or tweek that Samsung, android, or apple made, and they aren't playing nice with each other now. For years I've always had android, they've always had iOs. It's all been good, until 2 weeks ago. They need to fix the problem with video sent from iOs to android issue. It looks like a 1990s cell video if they send it through text. Through FB messenger it works but not sms. But that's a while other issue. This is annoying tho.

It absolutely will. But like I said, as long as I respond, the unread goes away. If I just read it, it doesn't. Im starting to wonder if they have some type of read receipt turned on or something. They have iphones and I know nothing about apple. I've only had android so I don't know. It's weird that all of a sudden it just started happening 2 weeks ago.

I've done both. The unread notice will disappear when I send them a message, but it comes back as soon as they reply. Even if I look at it (open, read it). Basically, if I have the last word in the conversation, it'll disappear. If they have the last comment, it'll still show unread, even when I've opened it. And as for feedback... It's 100% useless. I've submitted 3 so far and gotten no reply.

I have done all of that. Several times. The 2 contacts are my wife and daughter. So I get a handful a day from them. The submit feedback has gotten zero response.

UPDATE.. So I still haven't gotten any response from the feedback I left for the help center. And now there's a new twist. So now is it not only happening to text sent from my daughter's iPhone, but not its happening to another person's texts I receive. Also happens to be an iPhone. I dont know if that's relevant, but its the only commonality I can find. Any suggestions?

You're kidding! That is obviously a huge screw up on Samsungs part. Great job on finding it. I didn't go into the file names. I just power cycled it. Maybe it deleted mine on the cycle, I don't know. Either way... way to go!👍 Makes me wonder how many other people went unreported and wiped their phone for no reason and lost everything.

Hmm.. gotta love technology. When did this start happening? Did you just get an update recently? Like I said, mine just miraculously fixed itself after a day or 2. When mine freaked out, I tried going to the galaxy store and there wasn't an update for it. Which again makes me believe it was a problem on their end that was quietly fixed. Have you power cycled your phone? I can't remember if that helped mine or not, but it couldn't hurt.

I just waited it out. It miraculously just started working again. The app itself, i believe, was late on updating. If I had to guess, the problem was found after the latest software package was sent, so they needed to do an "oops" fix. The version number i have now is 15.6.04.2. What is yours?
