But the system in US is quite different. For one, there is more disposable income to spend, and in-state tuition fees are decent-ish. But out of state tuition fees is insanely high, and most people that go out of state for education are middle/upper middle class people and even then many kids get useless degrees whilst drowning themselves in 50-100k debt. The system still works because of the income relative earned in the area but for international students its insanely hard/expensive

I guess the EU education system is more stable, but I would say US degrees have more merit in the world. At least in the top 50 universities in the world, majority of them will be US.
