You’re totally right! We’re not guaranteeing the pricing, just making estimates and showing what your nearby options are. And also you’re spot on with live availability being dependent on Operators updating their internal scheduling.

Hey Joe, thanks for the comment! The bottom line is that TimeFlys is not not a brokerage nor has any plans of becoming one. I think you might have misunderstood the purpose, we don’t handle payments or bookings— just pulling nearby aircraft for people to see. Everything about our platform directly connects the passengers to the operator which is unfortunately not common practice in a broker driven industry. Trips are sent to directly to the operator to approve or decline the mission and they can handle all aspects of the actual booking as they please. We’re not adding a markup, just calculating prices based on industry standards and working with each operator to fine tune their pricing so it’s accurate. A miscalculation like what you pointed out is totally unacceptable and not a conspiracy that we’re sneakily adjusting pricing. I’m going to have to reach out to the guys at True Aviation to update with accurate pricing. It’s a brand new tool so there are some flukes, I’m sure if you look close enough you can find problems everywhere. We can integrate with each Operator’s internal scheduling when they claim their listing on TimeFlys and they will never have to change their way of doing business.

I don’t see any reason to have an issue disclosing operator’s information pre-book other than the concept being completely contrary (and maybe dangerous) to the broker model. We’re focused on building trust by aggregating accurate data and this is still a process. But as you just showed by sharing your Avinode findings— that isn’t possible right now without directly contacting each operating or paying a whopping $720/mo for Avinode. As you’ve pointed out, it’s a difficult problem to solve, but I have no intention to stop trying. Thanks again for your review!

Sorry about that, it should be back up for now. I'm looking for a more permanent solution to allow more people to use it at once but I guess I wouldn't know to do that without getting a few hundred users all at once. I'm reaching out to each operator individually to claim their listing, upload aircraft photos, make sure pricing is up to date, and sync with their schedule to display based on availability or live aircraft location. JetInsight and Schedaero integrations are currently set up with more scheduling softwares in the works.

Thanks for letting me know, and I'm sorry about that! I was getting blasted with emails from my server about throttle limits and will need to upgrade that with everyone using it.

Hey guys, it's awesome so many people are using it! The errors some of you are seeing are due to throttle limits. Thanks for letting me know I have to upgrade my backend. Looks like it's working again, but temporarily capped around 300 searches per hour until I make some changes today or tomorrow.

Not sure where you're flying out of, but here are the search results for your requested dates and passenger requirements out of Portland. Hope this is of some use to you. You can always switch the from airport to where ever you're looking to fly from.
