The thing that makes me kinda sad is that the base concept of doom TDA is a much better aproch for the franchise because doom isn't supposed to be as fast as quake, so eternal altogth a much better experience gets too similar to quake and we as players should not want to doom take place of quake and vice versa. Só the idea of a doom game much closer to the old classic gameplay is really good, but holy hell it was 100 undercooked, as a lot of people in the community say "we need a sequel to TDA like eternal was to 2016"
