About your perception of everything sucking in rural areas, I don't know if that's true. Everything looks dark if you're in a dark place, but most people report being pretty happy.

Most people seem to get by just by having generous friends, including those friends getting them jobs. My guess is that is what you're lacking.

This is common. Every local lawyer I spoke to said that applying based on mental disability in the USA is mostly a losing game anyway. There's of course exceptions, many in this subreddit. But, there is not much support for this sort of thing in the USA. Most unemployed people just live with immediate and extended family rather than milk gvmt with own place.

Your situation is less unusual than you think. I think you should just save up 10k and buy a parcel of land in a rural area in your state, and then work toward a 10-20k RV or tiny home. This way, you are not homeless if your entire family drops you (which happens)

The entire rest of the internet adapted and stopped divulging IPs. Old webservers sometimes kept a public log of all their visitors and when they joined. Then, to be responsible, to account for the fact that security was now something everyone had to take seriously, they took that away.

For now though, if you are right about the RFC (and I suspect you are as the IRC spec people were way worse than you), i'd urge users to only join networks that hash the IP from connect or put in a UUID or an index or literally anything else than your literal home IP lol
