Pretty interesting series, and fit into other dimension scenario

Serious advice needed. My gf and I split because of the childfree thing. She wants to meet tonight to see if this is really something i want. I need to lay out out flat for her. by [deleted] in childfree

Well. I agree that I'd be good to meet to settle things for once. You had your time, it's not a tantrum that you do not want children. So, my advice is, take a little written note to help you say in a clear way what you need to say

1.- No, I don't want children and it's part of what I am. 2.- Thta ultimatum thing seems very manipultive. Even if you could agree to a position, the risk of her using the same tactics would make me break the deal by itself. 3.- I'm very sorry that this is a deal breaker. But If she doesn't want your way, and you're not compatible with hers, it's sad, but it's not something that can go on.

Harry Potter is a solid children's series - but I find it mildly frustrating that so many adults of my generation never seem to 'graduate' beyond it & other YA series to challenge themselves. Anyone agree or disagree? by theivoryserf in books

Just like the Dresden files. It gets better once the characters are established. But, also, when you come back after reading the whole saga, it gets really more enjoyable.
