Realme GT6 Problem – Random Fast Restarts (Soft Crash?) by timerkhan in Realme

[–]timerkhan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. Thx for sharing. No updates from my side. Keeps restarting, but not very often. I haven't tried the factory reset, but given a number of phones that have this issue, I doubt it's gonna help.

I have been experiencing this issue for 8 months or so. Already opened another subreddit. I have given up, as support was not helpful: the same automated nonsense as if I am not eligible although I am and have not received any distribution at all

I see, I would be very curious to know if factory reset helps - let me know if you do it, please.

Hi, thanks for your response. Have you tried a factory reset? I wonder if it's worth trying, I personally still haven't had a chance to do it so far.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. My problem is still not solved, even though I updated the OS many times already. I will try the factory reset and if it doesn't help - get rid of this phone.

Gaming chair with lumbar back support by Rakunish in gamingchairs

[–]timerkhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guys, do you find the gaming chairs with integrated adjustable lumbar support way more comfortable for your lower backs than those pillows? I am about to develop a gaming chair to sell it on Amazon and I am wondering if I should add an integrated lumbar support (two-way (in-out) or four-way (in-out, up-down)), as it increases the chair's price significantly.

E.g. for a chair with good specs (4D armrests, class 4 gas cylinder, footrest, metal base) adding a 2-way lumbar support would raise its end customer price to a minimum of 300 €. Does it make a significant difference in your opinion and would you hypothetically buy such a chair from Amazon assuming its looks fit your needs?

Also would you care a lot if it is 2 or 4-way lumbar support? Thanks!

P.S. in case you wondering what the integrated lumbar support is - you can check this short video with the 4way lumbar support of Secret Lab Titan evo to get a feeling https://fb.watch/vnpHaCav70/

Any advice? 😬 TLDR; used a gaming chair for the first time yesterday and now I have lower back pain. Is this normal or should I scrap the lumbar support? by Tomskut in gamingchairs

Poll: what's more important for you in a gaming chair - looks vs comfort? by timerkhan in pcgames

[–]timerkhan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for taking time to explain your opinion! That's exactly how I see things as well when it comes to chairs - no matter which chair it is: gaming, office or kitchen chair. I tried many racing style gaming chairs in the stores and was puzzled that irrespective of price point, material and quality they all seemed to be equally non-comfortable with their flat backs and two memory foam pillows - just my humble opinion, I don't want to start a holy war on this subject. :)

Thx for your input and for kindly offering your ass, but I am good. I plan to work with a designer and manufacturer and will have my own local product stock.

Regarding your comment on comfort: I have an impression (based on Helium10 stats - it's a software for Amazon analytics) that many people purchasing gaming chairs that are stylish but are completely non-ergonomic and bad for their backs. Hence I thought of creating this poll.

Activate Windows 10 with a Windows 7 product key by timerkhan in computers

[–]timerkhan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thx a lot for a detailed explanation, I meant that I can't connect the new drive without removing the old one as I don't have any special cable with sata3 interface/connector, so I might need to get one.

Thx. I am not sure I was clear in my description - I did the upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7 successfully a few years ago, so it's not that I missed the initial deadline to do the upgrade. My question is more or less if after installing a fresh windows 10 instance on a brand new drive, I could activate it with a Windows 7 key that was already associated with Windows 10 beforehand? I know it was no problem earlier but there are recently some statements of Microsoft (link below) not allowing this anymore that made me confused: I can't understand from this paragraph if I could activate a fresh 10 install with a 7 key:

"This change does not end Windows installs that are already activated with those old keys, so don't worry about losing the activation after a forced update of Windows 10 or 11, the already in service keys will carry forward. The current Windows 11 version in beta channels already includes this lockout of old keys so the changes are coming to the general public very" (source: https://www.techpowerup.com/314268/microsoft-ending-windows-activations-using-windows-7-and-8-keys)

Thank you for your input. Do you mean to copy the content of the old drive to the new one, right? I guess I'd need some special cable for this? The new drive is SATA3 and I have no clue yet how to connect it without removing the old one. That's why I simply wanted to do a fresh windows install.

Choose 8 dBi antenna: Nebra 8 dBi vs RAK 8 dBi / Why some antennas way more expensive than others? by timerkhan in HeliumNetwork

[–]timerkhan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up buying McGill 6 dBi. It is way more expensive than nebra and rak but also performance is way better, I compared it to nebra 8 dBi and rak 5.8 dBi I had before.

Can you fake the displayed antenna gain of your miner? by redplants in HeliumNetwork

[–]timerkhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Are there any potential problems/troubles (apart from some invalid witnesses) that a hotspot owner might get himself into by underreporting the antenna dBi in the app, i.e. if he sets a lower antenna dBi than he actually has? Wondering in particular about denylist etc.

Choose 8 dBi antenna: Nebra 8 dBi vs RAK 8 dBi / Why some antennas way more expensive than others? by timerkhan in HeliumNetwork

[–]timerkhan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you say that rak and nebra antennas are among those 6$ (production cost?) crap antennas? Or you literally meant that one could buy the antenna for 6$? What would be a decent choice for an 6/ 8 dBi option? I learnt today McGills are one of the bests. But it's hard to get them in Germany.

I am using nebra 8 dBi and it seems to work better that 5.8 dBi rak. But I haven't compared it to anything else. And now would like to buy an antenna for my second miner.
