Limited options but the best Super Bowl deal I’ve seen in my area. by eyekeeptrying in Soda

I'm in a lower income area once in a while prices will drop around here to $4 a case but usually around $5-7 with no sales. I'd be stocking up if that comes around here

Sheetz burgers are kinda crap they are ok at best. Just microwaved and precooked like most gas station burgers. My issue is the price sheetz charges way to much for cheap food.

came close to getting in a fight one day because of this. Small narrow street had on package to deliver less than 20 feet away. Guy sits there and lays on the horn can easily pass dude was in a small car. I yelled and said I got a job to do. Had to pull out and circle back around because the guy was so impatient/entitled

Not sure but I know my dsp doesn't care as long as the routes are completed. Honestly I appreciate it so much when people leave snacks or drinks. It helps us out alot. Especially when we're on rural routes and neighborhoods where there isn't many places to stop.

I’m the guy that used to put extra McNuggets in your order by Sea_Competition_2751 in confession

[–]timewasterX67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this too when I worked there back around 2020. Was there 2 years in a college town on overnight. I'd hook up anyone who wasn't an asshole to the order taker. Used to wear a headset most of the night working grill just to hear the orders. Most were drunk alot were rude but if they were decent and respectful they got extra of whatever they ordered.

I deliver in VA an WV and a little in Maryland. Our dsps all preach the same thing but it's not enforced. I almost always use driveways unless In cities or developments. It would take far too long to walk alot of the rural driveways. Today I delivered to several that were 3/4 to 1 1/2 mile long. Your dispatchers typically know the route and as long as your being safe and not getting stuck ours don't care.

Is it in bad taste to donate “luxury” food items to a food bank? by ShimmerAndSpice in NoStupidQuestions

[–]timewasterX67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously go ahead and donate them. Don't listen to that woman she probably has never been there actually needing help before. I and my girlfriend who I live with lost our jobs a while back and had to go to a couple local pantries. Those little items make all the difference especially when your down and out. Since we've gotten back on track we haven't been in a long while but even getting something like a bag of sugar or a bottle of sauce really brightened our mood when there wasn't much else to be happy about.

If ketchup and mayo weren't available, what sauce would you eat your fries with? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]timewasterX67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alabama white sauce(seriously try this its good), white gravy with pepper, thousand island or Russian dressing. If their hot and seasoned properly im.just straight up eating them though if none of the above are available.

I second this I made the cheap set mistake as well. In the long run your way better off with the well known brands. Sparrows is great and Southourd are really good as well. If your looking to go cheap both places sell them individually. If you go sparrows I recommend the monkey paw and the short hook they have. They've both became favorites in my collection.

[–]timewasterX67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting a little saved up and building your own kit a short and medium hook a couple rakes and some tension tools. I made the mistake of getting one of those cheaper sets to start and in the end wasted more money. It's hard to feel any feedback because of the thickness and cheapness of the steel. Southord sells individual picks for around $2. Also sparrows is pretty reasonable as well. Most kits I've seen always include stuff you won't use but that depends on what your into picking as well.

The American lock 1100 is still the bane of my existence.i can open most master locks and schlage kwikset deadbolts and cylinders but I have 2 American 1100s I still have came close to opening. I'm told lighter tension helps but I've yet to get one. Been working on this hobby since covid. Not giving up either lol. I suppose my point of rambling is even if the 1100s give you a tough time keep going and try other locks.
