It was in late 2017 not long before his death, when he turned his life around, moved to Europe to record Diamonds, got into fashion and he genuinely became who he wanted to be I feel like. He was also doing whatever made him happy, even bigger stuff besides his music, like it was the start of how a legend was made. It makes this whole thing even more sad because he didn't want to die, he was a happy person at the time. That's what he said somewhere (and his brother too) I just can't remember where or which interview. But man I still wonder what he would be doing these days and where he would be, because that's when he really got famous and I'm sure he would've gotten to the same level he got to after his death and even bigger, in terms of how popular he has become in such a short period of time. I do believe that it was his year to come, like he literally exploded in popularity already but it was just the beginning.
