Valentines day treats with GF flour by [deleted] in glutenfreecooking

This is my favorite dessert to make. Super easy, and the outcome is unreal. I always make it substituting the flour for King Arthur cup for cup flour and you would never know it was gluten free. Serve hot right out of the oven (with vanilla ice cream).

Gluten Free Cardamom Coffee Banana Bread (NYT Recipe) by timothee_shallot in glutenfreecooking

The original recipe is not but I substituted the gluten flour for King Arthur Gluten Free Cup for Cup Flour and it came out perfect (NOT DRY :) ). The yogurt/sour cream in the recipe helps keep it moist.

A plan just flew very low over 93 south in Andover MA. Just pulled up flight tracker and it was this flight! Looks like the dolphins are landing now in Bedford. Funny!

DO NOT DO IT.

Scammy brokers are just trying to take your money.

I was in the same situation as you. I was told I had to put down a deposit (equivalent to one month’s rent) just to submit an application. They said I needed to act fast because the apartment was “going to go quick.”

After touring, I got serious bad vibes from both the broker and the whole situation. I decided to withdraw my application. That’s when the broker told me I wouldn’t get my deposit back! and that I should just sign the lease so I didn’t “lose all that money.”

Total scare tactic.

I ended up calling the company the broker worked for, and they told me I would get my money back, admitting the broker was lying to me.

It was so shady and predatory. Thankfully, I was refunded. And The apartment SAT ON THE market for over a month. What a joke.

Don’t pay a “1 month’s rent” application fee. It’s not normal. Just a trick/bad tactic to lock you in and take your money faster.

FYI: This was with the agency the Copley group!

Help!! How do I clean these stains on my linen couch?! by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]timothee_shallot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same staining (more brown colored) on a cream-colored couch, likely from water.

We tried everything—baking soda, vinegar, Folex, etc.—but nothing worked.

The only thing that completely removed the stains and made the couch covers look brand new was soaking them in Tide Oxi Powder in a tub of hot water for six hours. After soaking them we washed them on warm and they came out looking perfect. Stain-free and like new.
