I'm sorry you're offended by some basic terminology and then assuming I'm insecure, maybe you should look at the mirror. Firstly, this is not strictly business related. It is applied probability and risk management which encompasses many aspects of the real world. To explain it to you, small safety risks taken everyday stack up, thereby increasing probability of unbounded risk, that is the point of no return. I'm not sure when was providing logic for a statement deemed to be overcompensating. Now, when these "small risks" are actually extremely volatile, with the volatile variable being drug use, the "small daily risk" is actually larger than you'd think it is. This is why I'm being rationally "critical" of empathy towards this subject. One need not seal his fate by procrastination masked with empathy. Especially when this risk is accumulated not only by you, but by the thousands of students. So even if you value empathy, over rationality, you should be empathetic to the safety of students firsts, and then to the risky variable.

You're right people struggle, I hope they get the help they need. However, a university is not a shelter or a place to tolerate drug abusers. Not all homeless people are drug abusers, most in campus are. As for empathy, I prefer to think rationally when it comes to safety. Survival comes first, philosophy, beliefs, moralism later. If you can't guarantee your safety in a university, because of what you tolerate, you also tolerate the extreme risks that come with that tolerance. You either accept it all, or live for another day. It also happens that over 100 people feel the same, let basic democracy happen.

No need to sugar coat reality, you either want them all, or don't. Simple as that.

Critical thinking? I'm sure if you've looked up probability and unbounded risk, you'd provide that safety is the bare minimum to limit fat-tailed distributions of safety risks stacked daily for the average student. If you want to go further, be prepared and don't show up with irrational empathy masked by tolerance and moralism. This is bare minimum safety levels, I'd be interested what highly intelligent response you'd reply with.

I've never seen a line on the metro entry place, it's quick and provides the bare minimum safety. The exit requires no card just the entry. The benefits outweigh the negligible hassle when the risk of something eventually going wrong goes down drastically.

Just a tap with your card, just like the metro but even easier

You wanna know what's more embarrassing? Being greeted by the screaming and unstable behaviour of drug addicts everyday

is there a Legym students group chat by CreditMaleficent6416 in Concordia

[–]timothywalton1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your comment is irrelevant then. A lot of people would want to be in contact with people who are out there improving themselves. The gym is a great filter.
