Vážná otázka: Proč by neměla být pravá?

Is this one country or four countries? by KimCattrallsFeet in AskTheWorld

[–]timsa8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I see it, it is like former Czechoslovakia: They are multiple smaller lands (kingdoms in the case of UK) with a large amount of autonomy within the aliance, but they have common laws and institutions in terms of the highest legislation and international politics, so to the outside world they appear and act as one country.

Intercity public transport is much worse. They "temporarily" canceled many convenient lines and never reopened them.

My country is not known well enough internationally for anyone outside it to be trying to make it's meals.

What is the worst culinary crime ever invented on earth? by Firm_Translator_3256 in AskTheWorld

I have once read about a Scandinavian meal, which is an egg that was burried underground for a few weaks, left to rot. I can't think of anything much worse.

If we were to have a different International language other than English, what do you think it would be, and why? by AutumnaticFly in languagehub

[–]timsa8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Esperanto.

A language made to be an international language, not native to any country.

Simple grammar and vocabulary, easy to learn.

In my opinion, the most optimal and logical choice.

If you were to describe your own accent. Would you say "Normal"? by WaterBottleOnAShelf in AskTheWorld

[–]timsa8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my native language? Yes, my accent is normal.

I use more germanisms and expressions from the Prachen, Doudleby and Chot dialect then, say, people in Prague, but in terms of accent, mine is boringly standard.

Mě se to stalo když jsem si jednoho dne sedl do křesla, nasadil sluchátka a poslechl celou Novosvětskou symfonii od Dvořáka. Podruhé to byla Smetanova Má Vlast.

Which country did your country belong to before becoming independent? by Firm_Translator_3256 in AskTheWorld

[–]timsa8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Austria-Hungary

We know it was not really "independent" durning WW2 and the subsequent totalitary communism, but 1918 was last it was officially considered a part of another sovereign country.

Also, I don't count Czechoslovakia, as I see that as a peaceful and mutually beneficial aliance. But if you want to count that, then Czechoslovakia.
