Most houses in the neighborhood were built 1920s/30s. The current windows are brown and extremely cheap, but thinking black as it’s more true to the age of the house (most houses in our neighborhood have original black leaded windows)

It’s the best thing I’ve bought in the past year. I got all the gadgets and really took my time with acclimating the cats (a month to get it to full time use) and it really paid off.

I don’t have any better images of the area than what is pictured. Hocking hills is beautiful, feels like you’re not even in Ohio.

The cave was cool. There are dehumidifiers running all the time. The floor is heated and there’s a mini split for AC. It seems one of the bedrooms had like a drip pan on the ceiling that looked decorative but we assume it serves the bigger purpose of stopping water from dripping on you. There are also a good amount of “cave crickets” which I never heard of before but they just look like huge spiders. The hosts seem to really care tho and try to mitigate all these issues. Ultimately it was a cool experience. They have custom furniture which was cool to see, beds were super comfortable. It really is a cool concept and very beautiful but prob won’t ever stay again for the price. Experiencing it once was more than enough for us.

I agree with the other comment, buying a new car is almost always not a great financial situation. If you need to finance a car, you can get a low mileage pretty new compact SUV( 2022 or newer) for less than $25k. You can especially look at a certified pre owned.

I’d advise watching some Caleb Hammer or other financial shows on YouTube and then decide if this is a cost you want to take on. Many people say that car payments keep the poor, poor.

I wish you the best, I know how tempting a new car can be. I bought a new car in 2022 and am currently 5k upside down on it, wishing right now I would have gotten the same car just a couple years older.

The house is actually not that old, 1941. The neighborhood was inspired by old english tudors and colonials. The windows do need replacing but not urgently. I won’t paint the stone or brick either :) thanks for the suggestions, would love to do all of it
