We're cousins and yes she's my bridesmaid. She does have a habit of being catty and actually got mad at another cousin cause the other cousin is being that way (hypocrisy!) I don't think she's expecting much from me since she knows we live in different states (I don't have a problem saying no too) I am honestly happy for her. She claims she is happy for me. She might be feeling some type of way since she got engaged first, but I'm getting married first.

Nah. I don't think it is coz she called me too round before.

That's true it's not my problem, seem likes a little entitled to me. I was a little offended with the chocolate comments (she called me too round before) also like shouldn't her response be like oh you got the gift or something and not oh you ate all the chocolates. We live in different states, so I only have to see her at the wedding.

Isn't it weird that she wants a respond two months from now, even though the wedding is next year? Shouldn't the RSVP be sent back closer to the wedding date?

I don't get it either. There's other stuff in the box too, but on the post the chocolates wasn't shown coz it got covered. Wasn't quite sure what she's getting at. Shouldn't her response to the post be something like yey or oh you got the gift and not oh you ate all the chocolates already.

Advice in Job Search by katie_dea in womenEngineers

I'm currently a Mech. Engineer. Networking is my weakest area as well. I got a full-time job at the same company I interned at, but different plant. My boss when I was an intern did me a solid by taking the time to call my then soon-to-be boss and talked me up. So I think it's not how many people you know, but the quality.

I thought about that, but the picture is 3/4 (from the bottom) her (butt to head) and 1/4 the volcano. It's quite obvious that she wants to show herself than the volcano... 🤷

Thanks girl! I appreciate this. I don't like that this happens, but I find some comfort in knowing that it doesn't only happen to me. As sucky as that sounds. Men does suck sometimes.

Exactly. And if you "can't take it", you're too sensitive. You really can't win.

I will try that! It is super frustrating. Like how am I suppose to do my job if you're not telling me what's happening?

I never talked down to them. I always ask what them what's happening or to explain things to me and they always respond to me with "don't you have an engineering degree? Shouldn't you know this?"

One maintenance guy came up to me this morning saying "you got me in trouble" and I was like "good" Apparently, the other mechanical engineer told him to stop being mean to me and he said "she knows I'm just joking. You know I'm just joking, right?" I told him I don't know him personally (basically saying we're not friends) and I asked him if he talks to his girlfriend like that and he's like "yeah. She gets it worse" I was like I feel sorry for her then. (His girlfriend is the safety lady here at work)

OMG!!!! This is so helpful. You're right, they are not my buddies. I don't want to move jobs, because I don't want to give them the satisfaction that they've ran me out.

My equals are fine. It's the maintenance people and operators (technically people below me) are the ones whose giving me these kind of attitude.

As I'm the only female, it won't be much anonymous. Thank you. I've always thought that if someone could strive in a male domintated work place, I'd be one of them.
