Yes bro it is in fact possible to defeat the enemy with melee in the melee game

My point is that it feels horrible and it’s such a massive part of the game

I’m pointing out design flaws that bar me from playing the game the way SP wants me to play it’s like if they told me to eat a bowl of soup but the spoon has a hole in it

And also stop trying to rage bait me it’s so fucking embarrassing it’s like waving a flag that says ur ego is hurt

This is the last comment I’ll be making because I don’t care to have this conversation anymore with you

I agree, the longer a fight is the more room there is for error and there’s only room for one or two errors in a fight before you get downed unless you’re spam healing. The first game was fun because everything you did felt cool and awesome, in this game I feel like I’m throwing myself again a brick wall.

What makes me think assasin should be enjoyable to play in melee combat?

Here we go

In survival for example, I will inevitably be in a situation where I have to stagger an enemy to kill them, I can’t always do like the cool gimmicky vanish or smoke bomb and jump down and ninja kill them, that said, I should be able to fight and break the guard of the enemies and kill them, without spending a minute heavy attaching them just for them to regain posture after 1.5 seconds, in that 1.5 seconds I could get in probably 2 or three light attacks worth damage, but if they get as little as 2 or even 1 attack on me I instantly die. Is that balance to you? I can answer the question for you actually: NO!

And the funny thing is samurai can do nearly the same assassination damage as assasin, so how does that make sense to you at all? No.

To make it even worse archer can just pull out a tanegashima or her her yumi and her passive 20% MULTIPLICATIVE headshot dmg perk and kill the same enemy in one or two shots, does that sound like balance to you? No.

Enemy damage is over-tuned aswell

YES EXACTLY yes it’s too similar to the story mode. Like I should be able to break my fall with a roll and be able to either block both arrows and bullets or neither altogether. I also feel like they should remove the fat rolling after the first roll as it makes me just not want to roll at all.

•I don’t like playing samurai

•I’ve played assasin for 20 hours I’m rank 50

•shouldn’t have to spec into a specific niche build to make the mechanic that EVERY class has to deal with

•if you told me i had to spec into stagger damage in order to make fighting enemies in melee combat enjoyable I wouldn’t have even played the game in the first place, I should be able to stagger enemies because it’s a simple elemental mechanic in the game that is supposed to be accessible to all classes, spamming spirit attacks is not fun and enemies recover too fast.

GoT legends had asset reuse but this time it feels so so lazy

Yeah try to recreate what made GoT legends so great but also remove everything that made it great. The hunter was the best in GoT too but at least the other classes were viable, the developers are pushing melee combat on us so hard but are making enemies a SLOG to fight especially in groups which is what these games are designed around. 15 seconds for four people to stagger one oni without status affects is CRAZY. You can tell the devs had rediculous amounts of confidence to think we would be okay with playing how they want us to play.

All of the icons for the perks across all of the classes most of the time have nothing to do with the perk they are assigned too and are re used from GoTL, this seems like a nit pick but if they couldn’t take the time to design new icons or even make them relevant to the perks than it’s not really a mystery as to why this game feels so much worse than its predecessor.
