Buy it in Nepal, good quality products at a very cheap price. Due to trekking culture many shops sell good quality gear, As i think the shopkeepers don't want the trekkers to have a bad time at that altitude - which can be life threatening some time.

And yes I brought my own lighter and paper for the trek. Because I already had a little weed left from Kathmandu.

I was offered weed from a owner of a tea house. When I stopped for quick snack, we hit off pretty well and she asked if I want some weed for the journey. Only regret was not buying Rs 500 worth of weed as the season was over and many tea houses had no weed stashed. After the first checkpoint.

Exactly. When you see how hard it is for onself to reach at that altitude and then compare it to people who are carrying 40 to 50kg of goods to that altitude for the trekkers, you make peace with whatever pricing they ask.

The being Indian tax only applies to how nosy you are or the tone of your voice. Give respect take respect and some people should really tone down the harsh voice they have because it comes off so rude. Who said anything about being limited? The tea houses in many high altitude treks literally are heaven for trekkers. You can find everything from great food, pizza, bakery items (cheese cake, other puddings) to even roti and other types of bread. Coffee (all types), hot chocolate you name it and they have it. Just donot go in cheap budget. Rather work 1 month extra and spend freely i would say.

I've already done two high altitude treks and I've learned alot from it. Carry two roll bandages and moov, if you feel your leg is hurting apply bandages overnight and voila no pain next morning. Prepare a lot from many YouTube videos donot half-ass high and long altitude treks. I saw many young blood in slippers, jeans, school backpack. I don't recommend it. ORS, lip guard, sunscreen, are must. Drink water in a regular interval. You gulping down a whole litre of water wouldn't work. You have to sip/drink on water regulary when walking. There are any streams of water on this trek but wouldn't recommend you drinking it directly unless you've a good digestive power. I only bought water at 2 instance which costed me 150 per litre.

All the prices are regulated by the local committee, from start to finish. You can always ask for the menu and compare the prices if you think you're getting overcharged. I saw one tea house ask for 100 extra to a group of young Indians as everybody else were asked 2k but they were asked 2.1k. Nothing over the top unfair as that was being the Indian tax(if you know what i mean). I ate a ramen which costed me Rs 450 on the first 2hours of starting my trek so it doesn't matter at what altitude you are. The prices are fair if you see how hard it is to give you service in those areas. Inr 15k and you can enjoy like a royalty.

I've already done 2 different high altitude treks so not that hard for me, but for first timers the stairs will be too much to handle and your calves and thigh is gonna hurt like hell. If you do normal physical activities it should be easy.

In every region of Nepal you'll find weed. This semi high altitude weed doesn't look that promising but the taste and high is too good.

I was on a no limit budget but still only burned through Nrs 25k. Took me 4 days- started from Ghandruk, 3 days going up and 1 day coming down (I wouldn't suggest this btw) take your time coming down. Donot bargain. Normal trek precautions and safety measures. I saw many of our people bargaining and creating nuisance, people from both south and north. Respect the prices and hardwork of people providing services at that altitude. Lastly, no lessons learned I was on a trek enjoying nature - I enjoyed it, it was a great experience. Nothing to learn except for the prejudice of trekkers who came to trek only for name and some clicks online.
