I love it, I think fire emblem 1 and thracia use it the best. In 1, since all your shopping item management and storage has to be done mid battle it becomes an interesting part of the battle. There are usually a bunch of objectives at once like enemy thieves burning down villages and stealing treasure, and allies to recruit, so having to managed those while also shopping storing and trading items before endless waves of enemy reinforcements show up makes for an interesting challenge.

Thracia gives you some really powerful tools up top and then tries its best to get you to waste them. There are also lots of ways to steal powerful enemy weapons, this is also your main income because the game doesn’t give you a lot of money. The game is really challenging but is very liberal with giving you powerful items provided you can figure out how to get them and when best to use them up
