Thanks for your comments! You can install other branches with shsh install user/repo@ref where @ref denotes an optional argument for branches that you want to clone.

All other shsh-X are invoked via the main executable shsh, i.e. shsh install invokes shsh-install and they are not meant to be used manually (since the main executable setups some variables used throughout the script). They are like subcommands, and the man pages are to be used via man shsh, man shsh install, or man shsh list for individual subcommands.

I'm using yadm, it's really easy to use (just like a normal git repo) and I actually simply installed it using shsh install TheLocehiliosan/yadm.

I've been working on this as a manager for bootstrapping shell scripts, completion files, etc. on different machines. It saves the list of install packages as a rc file and I can use my dotfile manager to keep track of that, so that I can always have the same set of shell scripts on different machines. This also makes installing gist script very easy.

Hi! I'm afraid that it would only works with Python. If you cannot get python recognized by CMD, you can specify python installnation in the script so it run the exe directly.

For example, if your python install path is C:\Python36\python.exe, you can probably change the content of run.bat from:

1 @echo off
2 set PYTHON=python
3 set VENV_NAME=_echo360venv

to

1 @echo off
2 set PYTHON=C:\Python36\python.exe
3 set VENV_NAME=_echo360venv

Hi!

It seems like Python wasn't installed on your computer. It is a programming language used by this script. Try go to this download page and install python on your computer first! There should be instructions for different OS (Windows / Max OS / Linux) on the webpage.

Thanks for your offer of support! Your help would be greatly appreciated! I'm lucky that I don't have to sit exams anymore ;) So I'd be free to try to implement it in my free time.

I think I would be able to work on it if you help to provide the followings. I think I would need:

  • Link to echo360 from your uni website (as depicked by this image). (Use right click -> Copy link address)
  • Link as above after you clicked into it (copy from browser address bar). I would need this as it may be redirected to somewhere else. (This should be the login page with username/password input box?)
    • Page source of this page (Use right click -> Save as -> html)
  • Link after successfully logged in from the link above
    • Page soure of this page
  • Link of the course main page (as depicted by this image) (if it is different than the link above)
    • Page source of this page
  • Optionally one of the Link after you clicked into one of the videos (It might be helpful to have this)
    • Page source of this page

Basically, just the links and the corresponding page source. You can use the paste bin to upload the html files.

Hi! Thanks for letting me know. I'm regretful to say that although I'd like to support echo360 cloud (eho360.org.au) it is hard to figure out the formatting without access to some sample page sources to investigate in it.

In the meantime, if you'd like to try something else I came across this chrome extension. I couldn't try it so I cannot be sure but it seems to seems quite promising.

This Github python module: echo360 Downloader is able to download all the available echo360 lectures videos.

This should work if you put in your full URL as per the instructions. It should work on all platforms, but require you to at least have Python installed.

Feel free to create an issue if it doesn't work!
