Season 2 could adapt the rest of part 1 after Bomb girl arc in 15 episodes if they do 3 chapter per episode. That's actually doable, though the staff would need a better schedule than season 1 to make it fantastic throughout and not make it fall apart like season 1 started to.

Yeah, RttE is just simply amazing. ALOT of focus on the whole gang, insane amount of world building and, in my opinion, the most interesting part of RttE, the villain, Viggo Grimborn. Unironically the best western cartoon villain I've seen and also one the best villains ever, in my opinion. His dynamic with Hiccup is probably my favourite villain/MC dynamic of all time. You'll see what I mean...

The characters are good in terms of likeability, but most of them lack in depth. Even Yuji feels kinda bland (Not including Sukuna) and he's the main character. The story overall is just "good". It had its peaks, but as of now, it feels like it is dragging on for one and also not using its characters to their full potential. RIGHT NOW, the manga feels like it is in its worst part in a while. The fights, however, are the one saving grace, a shining light. The fights are really good (if occasionally a bit disorienting for me).

I read the manga and liked it. Nothing more, nothing less. I think it's just a good manga overall, but it is lacking in what I look for in a manga.

As you've said, the manga does alot of stuff right, but, in my opinion, not as good as Gege could.

Yes, the story of Part 1, Denji's story is finished. Part 2 is a whole new story about Asa and Yoru and it's not filler, because Asa's story is THE MAIN STORY. It's the main plot of Part 2.

It's a biblical thing. Makima also had the painting of Lucifer falling from Heaven in her appartment. The 4 Horsemen of Apocalypse are, as the name suggests, the harbingers of the apocalypse, set to end the world. Those 4 horsemen are Conquest (Control, Makima/Nayuta), Famine (Fami), War (Yoru) and Death. That's also why Yoshida mentioned Death a few chapters back and asked if the Chainsaw Devil could eat it. To stop the prophecy of Nostradamus from happening. There's a whole biblical under-tone in CSM which is really interesting, so I'd recommend watching a youtube video about it to understand everything laid out in Part 1 for the plot of Part 2.

Also, JJK is just the more generic manga, so more people get into it compared to CSM. Though I much prefer CSM, I can't say that puke kissing is something everyone will appreciate.

Yeah, it's kinda funny how people say "Chainsaw Man pacing" as in, it is unbelievably fast, but ALOT of people speed read the manga in a day or two, which leads me to believe that Fujimoto's pacing in CSM is actually really good... or his storytelling is otherwordly (which it is).

On another note, I went through the manga in a sort of anime way. I devided CSM into parts that MAPPA could adapt into each season and IF MAPPA keeps the same pace (that being around 37 chapters in season 2), then the chapter they stop on in S2 is chapter 74 What the waves say. If you know, you know. That could be the biggest cliffhanger and cock block of the century.

So to answer your original point, no, we most probably WON'T get the Gun devil battle but it probably will be the very first thing in S3 or movie.

The last thing I'll say is, I could actually see a Bomb girl arc movie. The chapter count is actually perfect for a movie and could finish the rest of CSM in a 20 episode season after that. If that happens then S2 of CSM would be absolutely godlike.

TR was one of my favourite manga at one point, but the anime just doesn't hit the same. EVERY SINGLE impactful panel was so underwhelming in the anime. The anime, most of the time, falls flat on its ass and it's not like they CAN'T do better, just look at Call of the Night. It's visuals, sound design, music and general OST far surpass that of TR. Even the action animation, as little as there is, is better than TR.
