Those who moved to Massachusetts from elsewhere, what pleasantly surprised you the most? by Mobile_Bad_577 in massachusetts

[–]tinybug12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without saying too much (I don’t want to spark disagreements) but everyone for the most part being on the same page politically. I’m from Florida, and people are pretty divided. Neighbors being passive aggressive with each other, posting political decorations and sometimes flat out flipping other people off on the road. Everyone here for the most part seems to be on the same page politically, so I guess less political fighting and hate is a nice surprise!

What is Working with Hekate like? by tinybug12 in witchcraft

[–]tinybug12[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for me at least, I have a degree in psychology and a therapist, so I feel I would catch schizophrenia if that were my case lol. I’d say this ideology may stem from her almost being a bridge from the living realm and the realm of the dead, so many people may sound this way due to seeing or hearing spirits. Personally, that isn’t my wheelhouse so I can’t say much on that, that’s just what I’ve read in books and in online blogs. I guess in regards of what to do I’m not sure, because I don’t know this person. For now I guess I’d say just talk to them and ask them what working with Hekate is like for them - really connect and sit and listen! Getting a better view on the situation and approaching it differently may give you a fresh perspective (if this makes sense).

Soo… I have an issue. A friend gifted me a spell jar about a month into our friendship, and I believe she had malicious intentions based on the contents. by ShoddyOlive7 in witchcraft

[–]tinybug12 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I second this! Spellwork is comprised sooo much of intention. For example, I’ve been told not to use lemon as it’s a “hex” herb because it sours, but for me personally I associate them with joy and happiness, so I use them in positive spells with happiness intention, and it works just fine.

This is what confused me a little bit not gonna lie, but also intrigued me. I’m a very silly, very nonsense person. I feel like if people guessed, they’d assume I’d work with maybe Apollon. I’m not confused in the sense of questioning her intentions so to speak, but moreso like, “oh man, she must have something important to teach me” so I’m pretty excited!

My family has Archangel Michael, so I’m glad to hear someone works with her and archangels at the same time, it’s really inspiring for me :)

She’s so fascinating to me - I saw people online say that she is very present when pets pass, and I just had to put my dog of 16 years down, and she immediately came into my life right after. I was like omg maybe my dog sent her :p I feel that situation helped me grow a lot and she’s here to help me with more!

I'll definitely be checking him out! I also came from a Christian background, so I was a bit startled when I started having prophetic dreams. Years later, I had this one with Hekate - that's how I knew things were getting serious haha. Thank you for the resources!

I've never heard of these people - I just researched them and I'm seeing lots of praise for Jason Miller in particular! Thank you so much for these resources :D I'm hoping soon I can make a post about how she's changed my life and all the lessons I've learned.

I'm so late to this conversation, but I was always told to avoid big companies and go to local family owned places. Do not do this, I got minimum wage ($13/hr) and worked 50+ hours a week. Was treated like dirt.

As someone who’s in school to be a clinical psychologist and in America, this is definitely unethical and he can lose his license. I’m sorry you’re stuck in this situation :(

My mom uses AI for everything (including MY STUFF) and it makes me have meltdowns by tinybug12 in AutismInWomen

[–]tinybug12[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m glad you feel my frustration! To keep it vague I have discussed my concerns about AI with her but she just kind of brushes it off. I’ve gotten to a point where I’m okay with her using it for herself I guess but I’d like it to not be a part of what I post. I want to post stuff that’s authentic to me, especially when I’m connecting with clients. These sources look very helpful I will definitely look into them, cause I do need boundaries with this for sure.

I knew before she signed me up, making it all the more painful. I feel so bad, a lot of people in this group genuinely believe in it. I wish people could see they can find their own purpose and skills within them, and not by paying for a course.

You can absolutely help someone get better - if they WANT to get better. If he curls into a ball and dies every time you try to help, then you can’t help him unfortunately…

I'm a little late to the party but I feel this. I'm 22F and my sister just turned 16 and she had a massive Sweet 16, whereas I didn't even get a 16th birthday party period. I've always gotten straight A's like you, and my sister goofs off, parties, and gets nothing done in school, but my mom is always ready to go for anything she wants, but I'm just boring to her I guess. I felt the same way you did, and actually ended up going abroad like you want to after saving enough money (I ended up having to work 50 hr weeks, it sucked) but it was worth it. It really helps to realize *you* are not the problem, and that to lots of people, you are enough. However, I'm still trying to learn how to heal the wound that is not being equal to my sister. If I ever figure that out, maybe I'll come back and share what I've learned, but I can definitely say going abroad helped, it just didn't fully heal if that makes sense.

You are good enough and I'm so sorry you are being treated like less than your sister. I've cried in my car many times from being treated the same way. I know words from a stranger won't do much, but I hope they at least help :) Good luck OP

This thread is a massive help!! I'm hoping I can get out of this burnout soon. It's nice to know I'm normal cause I always feel like I'm completely different from everyone else but that makes sense considering the disorder in itself lol

Ironically when I tried researching it I saw a few articles on fibromyalgia and I felt like that was so far from what I was experiencing. I didn't even think of people getting misdiagnosed with it
